In winter it has a great tubing hill. In summer there's a large and varied lake front. Bike trails cut through it so that you can get anywhere. Plenty for families to do near the park office, nice little shuttle bus in the summer, canoe rental etc. good fun.

The entrance on Rockford Road is closed. Construction from Rockford Road to the Recreation Building including parking lot and playground.
The walking paths and lake access is still open.
Beware the goose droppings! Even after a 4" rainfall the walks along the lake were still covered in droppings.

This is such an easily accessible park with numerous bike trails and walking paths. It provides easy access for anyone wishing to access Medicine Lake whether it be boat or if you bring your own kayak/canoe. They also have rentals for a decent price per hour. My only complaint would be the hours rentals are available and how soon they are no longer available come fall. I mean, I know it's MN...but some of us still like to kayak in fall ;) They have a great park and beach as well and it's usually pretty quiet.

Great for walking. Has different parking spots. Best spot to spend at especially for relaxing time. Picnic area is great.
Photography can be pursued. Remember dog poops are common near the lake shore but yet few places are clean.
Boating spots and charges are from $15/-, clean changing area. Washroom is at an adjacent building. Souvenirs like store is available but small and You can hire boating related products. Timings of site must be checked out. Adults must be with teenagers and children. Great outing for a children filled family.
Trails are sometimes closed for biking but still saw people cycling around.
We enjoyed the walk and the microlight sky air shows.
