Adjacent to Plymouth Playhouse and Green Mill Restaurant so convenient to spend the evening. Room nice, loud with band downstairs playing for a wedding. Had warm breakfast, but I thought the sausage and potatoes pretty greasy. Shocked when maid lightly knocked and came in to clean room at 9:00 AM - luckily we were up and getting ready for church or really would have been disappointed. Thought checkout was 11:00 or 12:00 so surprised they did that?

While the staff were very helpful and friendly when we arrived and departed, we will not be staying at this hotel again. This is because our room was very musty and now our belongings are musty-smelling. The smell is also now in our house and for our clothes, two washings so far have not fully removed the smell. We're not sure how we'll get it out of our luggage. If they install dehumidifiers it might be better. There wasn't one available when we asked. The smell also caused migraines in one of us who is very sensitive to scents and mustiness. The staff were fine and so was the restaurant but I'm sorry to say that the hotel isn't one I'd recommend.

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay at our hotel. We are truly sorry that we failed to exceed your expectations. We will be renovating the room that you occupied including removing the wallpaper to eliminate musty and humid smells. We will also set our airconditioners to a proper level to dehumidify the room. We are happy you did find our staff freindly and accomodating.

Sincerely,

John Nygaard

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Minneapolis area. The location was close enough that we were downtown in 15 minutes. Clean, comfortable with a nice pool (indoor). Stayed 5 nights and didn't have any problems.

We were excited to stay at this hotel during our long drive home from vacation. We managed to secure a very good rate. We are a family of five, so required a cot in the room. This made things rather cramped compared to other hotels we've stayed, but as it was only one night, was manageable. The pool area was fun and the highlight, although my family also loved the breakfast. Overall though, the place is in need of some decent updating. This just generally felt dated and in the case of our bathroom, cramped and grimy. I wouldn't recommend for an extended stay or as a destination hotel, but worked well for our needs.

One of the best stays in a Hotel I have had. Everything went very well from start to finish. I have nothing to complain about . From the room to the staff all was perfect. Food was great as well. Everything you could rate a hotel on they passed with flying colors. Very satisfied with my stay.

I stayed here over the 4th weekend. The parking lot was mostly closed and we were put in what seemed like the oldest and most dilapidated part of the hotel. The exterior door (door C I beleive) had a non functional card reader which meant I parked at the door closest to my room and then had to walk to the next door and go around and open the door for the rest of my family. When I reported the issue to the front desk it was clear they were aware of it. As part of my detour I went through the ground floor of the building that I was staying in and it's possibly the smokiest hotel hallway I've been through. It's possible that this was because someone was just smoking in there but it smelled like old smoke to me. Our room was in poor condition. The wallpaper was peeling off all over the place some of it patched with what appeared to be rubber cement by a 5 year old. The tile floor looked dirty and all fixtures looked old and cheap with the exception of the showerhead. Breakfast was ok, the dining area was packed, tables were self bussed and unwiped. Eggs were very wet and unappealing in appearance, sausage ok, other breakfast items were typical enhanced continental. The best part of our stay here was the swimming pool which was kept very warm and that my kids loved. The slides in the pool area weren't the typical type but were fun. The hot tub was very foamy which makes me suspect it's not well kept or that someone had just put soap in it. This place was significantly overpriced for the market with many options that were better in amenities and overall value. I won't be back, skip this one.

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor by door C and D, Avoid highway side of the hall

Thank you for taking the time to respond to Trip Advisor regarding your recent stay at the Best Western Kelly Inn. We are truly sorry for failing to meet your expectations. Repairs to our parking lot including new pavement, seal coat, and striping did occur the weekend of your stay and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We are a 100% non-smoking hotel and do our best to ensure all guests follow the law and refrain from smoking indoors. We are also slated to remodel more guest rooms, including the one you stayed in, which will include removal of the wallpaper and painting the walls to give a textured, more updated look to the guest room, We are happy your children did enjoy our popular pool area.

Sincerely,

John Nygaard

What a great stay for our family! We stayed in a king suit with our kids which gave us tons of room. The pool was great! Very warm loved the slides! The breakfast was awesome, so many different choices! Plenty of parking. Great TV channels.
