I am seriously trying hard to give the viewers of this review something other than "beautiful", "astonishing", "one-of-a-kind" etc. that show up in the other reviews but am coming up empty-handed. I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say! My wife and I came here on a small honeymoon and couldn't be more pleased. All the prior reviews to this one didn't do the place justice (and they were all 5 stars!!!!).
The house and rooms are clean and well decorated (an antique lover's dream!). The food was delicious and hearty - you won't walk away from breakfast hungry. The property is an amazing collection of gardens, woods, prairies, orchards etc. (with trails and resting benches throughout) and is topped off with an overlook that has spectacular views of the Chippewa and Mississippi Rivers!
Perry and Raynard, the hosts, are incredibly accommodating. You can tell they work their butts off keeping the house and grounds maintained. They feed off your appreciation for the beauty and uniqueness of the B & B and property. This is no more apparent than the fact that they don't even live there to enjoy the fruits of their labor - they live at the bottom of the bluff! After breakfast every morning they leave the entire place to their guests to enjoy.
We intend to come again (and get our family and friends to visit too).More
