Comfortable bed. Beautiful backyard with an inviting fireplace. Delicious breakfast of perfect portions. Friendly but not too friendly owner and staff. Enjoy the balcony of Helen's suite for a private outdoor space. A bit creaky in the hallways but to be expected in a beautiful old home.

My Husband and I wanted a quiet and relaxing start to our honeymoon and this was just right! Breakfast was delivered to our room the first morning which was great! The only downside was that our room was not equipped with a shower, only a Jacuzzi tub, which was fine as we weren't on any type of strict schedule. It was within walking distance of downtown Red Wing which is what we wanted. They let us check-in late and everything was easy to find. Overall a wonderful experience!

Room Tip: We were on the third floor which was very quiet and private. The only downside was that our room di...

My partner and I wanted to stay at a B&B that is LGBTQ friendly and Golden Lantern Inn popped up in our searches. We felt very comfortable right away and relaxed during our short but enjoyable stay. The breakfast was VERY tasty and they remembered my partner's gluten free request. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

I made reservations at the Golden Lantern Inn for a romantic birthday getaway. We stayed in JR's Suite and absolutely loved the room and the service. There was plenty of room in the suite and the Jacuzzi tub was big enough for two. When we first arrived there was wine and hors d'oeuvres available and Sioux provided a very interesting history of the house. In the morning there was fresh coffee outside the room and, when it was time for breakfast, Sioux respected our privacy and knocked on the door and left the breakfast tray outside the door. Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, French toast, egg quiche, and organic yogurt. I would definitely stay at the Golden Lantern Inn B&B again!

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary here. We stayed in Meg's Suite. It was beautiful, as was the whole house. The hostess was very kind, the breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfy, the whirlpool was great, etc.. It was a delightful trip!

My husband and I just stayed recently and was our first stay at a B&B. We loved the house and the room, we stayed in Lety's room, small but the jacuzzi tub was great. We had a good view of the garden area and fireplace. It was quiet and relaxing just what we where looking for. She had great snacks when we checked in and the breakfast was delicious. We would highly reccomend this place to others and will be staying again.
Thank you again for the wonderful stay.

My wife and I stayed here for our second anniversary. We stayed in Meg's Suite and it was a great corner room with a nice view of the garden area. Everything from the friendly and helpful staff to all the extras like baked goods, wine, and the wonderful garden area with a fireplace make this B&B stand out. The whirlpool was a perfect size for two people to relax in. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in Meg's Suite and it was a great corner room with a nice view of the garden area.
