My wife and I stayed one night in July 2014, visiting MN from Atlanta. The owners are very welcoming and support that with an excellent breakfast and bread baking experience! They are knowledgeable and passionate about their historical round barn and tell entertaining stories too. There are plenty of local dining options with State Park land and the Mississippi River for hiking and recreation. A great choice! One minor drawback is a nearby train crossing which can be heard from the property.

One of the unique aspects of staying here was the wonderful stories told by the owners regarding the barn, smokehouse/wood fired oven and previous owners of the property. I would highly recommend staying here. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and the breakfast was great, along with the fresh bread prepared by the owners.

We went to the Round Barn Farm B & B & B. in Red Wing this past weekend on a rare spontaneous get away. If you need some quiet place to rest, relax and enjoy beautiful surrounding this place is it. I'm trying to encourage you, tempt you...it's not very far away from the Twin Cities.. The pastoral miles between here and there will prepare you for the refreshing beauty awaiting you there. You won't regret it. We can't wait to find our very next opportunity to go bak

Room Tip: We slept in the Spinning Wheel room. Not feminine so a man will feel comfortable there. I don't...

The house is new, but designed to look older. They pay SO much attention to every little detail and try SO hard to make everything work... AND THEY SUCCEED!
Rooms are purpose built for B and B. Local evening dining options are plentiful for all budgets. Private walking trail.

Room Tip: We saw all of the rooms and there is not a bad one in the lot. Willow is HUGE!

This is by far one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever visited! We felt very welcomed from the minute we arrived until we drove away. The home is beautiful and romantic. The tour of the barn is informative and amazing. The breakfast was delicious and filling!!!

This impressive house was recently built but designed with authentic farmhouse features that take you back to an earlier era. A tour of the restored historical round barn is a highlight of the stay, only surpassed by the delicious breakfast. Each room is superbly decorated! We received a very warm welcome from Robin and Elaine and hope to return to Round Barn Farm soon.

Room Tip: The Willow Room was excellent.

Robin and Elaine were gracious and welcoming hosts. What they have accomplished in building this manor with much reclaimed timber and other materials and with many antique furnishings is just amazing. The common areas are just beautiful. We stayed for one night in Anna’s Suite. The room was wonderful! We loved the gas stove & the whirpool tub was excellent. The bed was supremly comfortable too. Then, there was the awesome breakfast! They did a supurb job accomodating my wife's special dietary needs. We also really enjoyed snowshoeing on their property. For sure we'll be back again!
