We keep going back to Joy's Pattaya Thai Restaurant because it is the best food we have ever eaten anywhere. Try the Singapore noodles, green curry, red curry, tom kha (sp?) noodle soup, the duck curry served in a squash shell, pad thai of course, and pineapple fried rice to name a few. It's always hard to decide what to order, and every time we try something new it becomes a new favorite. Generous portions. Consistently great. Entrees around $10 to $14. Located on the corner of 76th street and Lyndale ave. in Richfield (Minneapolis) Minnesota.

I go out of my way to have dinner here whenever I'm in Minneapolis so fire up your little GPS and get over there. Fresh ingredients, the basil and curry dishes are outstanding! I believe it was a number 47 that is my favorite with fresh veggies, sweet basil, coconut milk. I like my Thai a little on the spicy side but not so much that I can't taste my food and I have to sit with kleenex twisted up my nose. At most Thai restaurants, this usually means "medium". I don't order beyond "mild plus" at Joy's, the chef's at Joy's are not afraid of ingredients and do not cut corners. I've had many dishes here and they are all flavorful, even the boring old Pad Thai :) The atmosphere is nothing special but it's clean. They also offer carry out. Being a celiac and having to eat totally gluten free, I never feel cheated here. Oh, and leave room for #52, mango sticky rice--to die for! Most dishes are $9-$13. I've seen larger portions at other restaurants but who cares if it's not this good!
