A friend of mine and I had lunch at Famous Dave's-Roseville. We arrived at 1100 hrs and placed our order at the counter attended by some very friendly people. I ordered the Rib N Rib combo and my friend had the country style chicken. Orders were served at the table by a very friendly server followed by several visits thereafter to see if we needed anything else. To the food; BBQ is very subjective and to ones own taste. I had the St. Louis style ribs and the Memphis ribs. I thought the portions were on the small side but were adequate. The St. Louis style was meaty with a somewhat strong hint of black pepper, but not overwhelming. The Memphis ribs were glazed with the sweet and sassy sauce and were tasty. I had the corn on the cob (very good) the steamed broccoli (also very good) and the cornbread muffin (also very good with a little honey on it). I compare the size of the portions to that of what you get in down South BBQ joints and I think these came up a little short, especially if these were considered half slabs. I would go back here again when the desire for Q strikes again.
