“The Bomb!”
Reviewed 29 March 2014 via mobile

Red Savoy's pizza is the best in the Twin Cities! Expect to be taken care of, the staff is friendly and can't do enough for you. You should never leave this place less than full. Ice cold beer & tastey appetizers. A must try!

“YUMMY YUMMY!!!”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

Grandma wanted to go here again while we were visiting recently, so we accommodated her request. She LOVES the onion rings and pizza. It has a zesty sauce, lots of cheese and toppings. Service was as usual. We were seated at a table no problem, but they tried to place in the doorway when other table were available, so we requested to move. They just bring a stack of plates and handful of silverware to the table and you are on your own to hand it out. They also just bring glasses to the table and set them down and you, again, have to figure it out on your own. We got two of our pizzas ahead of our order. It wasn't awful, but we were waiting quite a bit for the third one to get there and the place was steady, but not THAT busy. What we don't really like is they cut the pizzas in squares vs triangles. And they didn't really get one of the pizzas even cut all the way through. We had to saw at it with a dull knife and it really kind of made a mess of things. All in all, food great, service usually not great, but worth going every once in awhile for a change of pace.

“this would be average pizza by Chicago standards”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

This is a very old style dark establishment. Not really sure where to check in as there was no real hostess stand? But we managed and didn't wait long for a table on a Saturday night with a Wild game in town. Service was fine. As stated in my title, I currently reside in Chicago (born and raised in the twin cities though) and I would have to rank this pizza average at best.

“Best Pizza in Mpls/St Paul by a long way”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

The restaurant is old school, dark and decorated circa 1969, BUT, the Pizza is to die for. Order the Meat Lovers and take a double shot of Lipitor. Service is excellent in the bar and the restaurant. A classic dive bar with food to die for!

“Kitchy Old school”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

This is the oldtime dark bar atmosphere with the best pizza you have ever had. The St. Paul restaunt is the one to go to. This is where the pizza is best!
