Since we were visiting the area and heard that walleye was a local fish, we wanted to try it. The Grill had on the menu a pan fried walleye dusted with almond flour and a sweet pecan glaze. We were served in the bar area since we were between lunch and dinner. The dish was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The grilled vegetables were also tasty and a little al dente. I had a Surly beer with the meal. Service was quick and friendly.

We like to go to the Saint Paul for a Sunday morning brunch. The buffet is good (expensive, though) there is valet parking, and the service is attentive and friendly. The ambiance is old fashioned/luxurious, as is the hotel itself.

We ate at the St. Paul Grill for my wife's birthday. The menu has many items to choose from. I had the grilled Pork Chops and my wife had the Swordfish. Both were excellent, The hash browns ordered as a side were the best ever, and you will have plenty left over for the next day if you order them.Great service-one of the best restaurants in St. Paul.

Located off the lobby of the historic St Paul Hotel, this restaurant is a winner. Vibrant, and sometimes noisy, bar located to the left of the main seating area. Extremely large windows give most tables a great view of a beautiful park (definitely worth a visit around Christmas - light display in park is incredible) Servers were attentive and very professional. Food is great. Last night I had a seafood stew. It was full of clams, shrimp, mussels, swordfish and sea bass. My customers both had steak. They raved about the flavor and said it was cooked perfectly. Excellent desserts. If you are a fan of banana cream pie, let me highly recommend theirs. It may be the best I have ever had. Some would consider this restaurant pricey, Dinner (appetizer, salads, wine, entree, dessert and coffee) for three was $325 including tip.

I went to visit my husband, who was spending 3 months working in St. Paul. Our wedding anniversary fell while I was visiting and we wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate and chose here.
There was plenty of choice on the menu, which I checked out before our visit, as well as specials available on the evening. My husband had crab cake to start followed by filet mignon steak, which was cooked to perfection and came with a very generous portion of potato fries - more than enough to share. I opted for the mussels off the specials menu, followed by the walleye, which was very tasty. We both opted for the Ghirardelli chocolate sundae for desert which was lovely. The service we received through out our visit was excellent.
It wasn't a cheap meal, but for a special occasion it was well worth a visit.
The website gives details of the parking available. As it was a wet evening we took advantage of the free parking at the Lawson Ramp, with access to the Grill via the skyway.
