This park is perfectly placed in downtown St. Paul. Bordering it are the St. Paul Public Library, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Landmark Center, and the St. Paul Hotel. It is only one block from the Rivercenter, Excel Energy Center, and the Science Museum of Minnesota. There are also lots of restaurants along St. Peter Street, also one block away. There is also a main bus stop right on the corner, and other bus stops close by. The fountain in the park is a great place for pictures or just hanging out. Food trucks line the streets during lunch hours in the summer, as well as a few vendor stands, and there are plenty of benches to hang out on. It's clean and pretty. During spring and fall there are high school students who hang out, so be prepared for some high energy antics at times! In the winter the trees are covered in twinkle lights. The St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Sculpture contests take place here, and there is also a cooled skating rink that they open for about a month in late January to early February with rental skates and a heating house. This is a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying St. Paul.
