“Best Breakfast in Downtown Saint Paul”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

We eat here every time we are in town. The menu choices are varied and exquisitely prepared while the buffet table is another option. I had french toast stuffed with berries. Surprise, the berries were the main course with perfectly done french toast buried underneath! With the best restaurant coffee I have tasted in a long time, a wait staff that pampered us and a no rush atmosphere, well you just have to try this place.

“Don't overlook this great lunch option in downtown St. Paul”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

Unless you regularly stay at the St. Paul Hotel, you might not now about M Street. It is in the basement under the St. Paul Hotel and is regularly open only for breakfast and lunch. The sideboard lunches are buffet style with different soup, salad, and entree combos and options. If you are looking for healthy lunches, this is a great option. The salad bar is filled with fresh, delicious, and some higher end salad fixin's. Tends not to be as hectic as some other downtown St. Paul places at lunch time. All the food we have had there was excellent and seemed to be a cut above most restaurants.

“Never a bad meal at M Street!”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

I've been here for lunch numerous times, alternating between the Sideboard and ordering off of the menu. I have never had something that I didn't enjoy immensely. Favorites include the chopped salad and the fried egg sandwich. The sideboard- essentially a buffet with a different selection daily- is always good as well with freshly prepared dishes created with quality ingredients; not what you'd expect to find at a hotel restaurant.

Service is usually prompt and friendly. The place fills up right at noon every day though so plan on getting there a little early if you are on a time crunch.

“Delicious Breakfast - Great Price!”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

I had breakfast this week at the M Street Cafe. The breakfast was very affordable and was excellent! I recommend ordering the sideboard. It's a self-serve buffet that included tons of fruit, some breakfast breads/pastries, an oatmeal station where you could make your own flavor (cinnamon, brown sugar, cranberries, almonds, etc). The meal also included eggs, hash browns and toast - all delicious especially the raspberry jam that came with the toast! All that food was only about $13. I highly recommend going here for breakfast.
