The wife and I camped at Lambs Resort for our anniversary trip. We loved our camp spot eight out on the lake by the big rocks. wasnt to close to other spots and scenery is great. walked the trails up to the falls and visited the Gooseberry falls also.
plan on getting cabin 1 or 2 next time right on the falls :)

Room Tip: Cabins 1 and 2 are right on the falls... and the beach is amazing!

if you like a old shower, 2 stalls, narrow, dirty, old and needing upgrade, blood on sinks, and always dirty, camp area to close to each other, then this is the camping you would like. there was probably 6 sites inside were nice, and all the water/beach sites nice.

I've gone to Lamb's every summer for about 7 years now. First with no kids, now with young kids who love it as well. The trick is to call early in the season and get one of the hike down spots on the lake. No better camp site in the state. Easy day trips both N and S of Lambs but last year we decided we couldn't find a better view then our campsite so we just relaxed at our site and at the "big beach". My kids could keep themselves busy with the rocks all day. But FYI - the bathrooms aren't fancy and there are only 2 woman's showers, so if being clean and pretty is important to you...look elsewhere. And oh, you can get Sven and Ole's pizza delivered to your campsite which is fun, especially at the hike down sites when a guy suddenly comes through the woods with a pizza for you!

Lamb's resort is in a quiet location north of all the more touristy destinations on the north shore, and ideallly located on the Superior Hiking Trail. Just minutes south of Lutsen and Grand Marais for dining and shopping. We stayed in the rental cabins. The one-room cabin offers a small kitchen with a mini fridge ans small stove, along with most of the necessary kitchen utensils. The cabin offered bathroom with shower, double bed and futon couch, along with log-style dining table and chairs. The cabins also come with a fire pit, picnic table and grill. The cabins are rustic, but cute and nicely located overlooking the waterfall. We can't wait to come again.

My husband's family has been going to Lamb's since the 40s. Every generations takes their children and so we have joined in the tradition. We have stayed in every cabin and the campground. This will be our 11th year going up there as a family. The rustic cabins as well as the campsites are the reason we go up. I hope they never change them or update them. They're old charm and antique feel is what keeps us going up there.

This is a very nice campground in a great location, and we were there for four nights in a tent. It was our second visit. Since it was Labor Day weekend, it was very full, but it was quiet nonetheless. I think the rather high price ($31 for a lakeside site) may keep the more rowdy types away, but that is fine with us. This campground is quite large but the sites are not too close together, so even with the campground full as it was, it did not seem crowded. Our site was right next to the Lake Superior shore. The showers and bathrooms were clean but showed signs of age, and the showers were hot. Certainly a new shower building would be a welcome addition, with a couple of additional stalls to reduce long waits.
