Heard about it from a co worker. Wow. Building and environment were bigger, cleaner, brighter, live music, lots of service, amazing food, absolute wonderful wine....bought a mixed case.
Burgers and pizza were my favorite.
Winemaker was very knowledgable. Owners were fun and lively.
Will recommend and definetely will return.

We have now been to this winery two times. Our first I will note was an extremely pleasent visit, as we travel all over to visit wineries. We had an exceptional young lady server who was a wine expert and new the wines very well, which really made the experience. ( although the wine itself was only average, my husband compared it to wine anyone can make at home) As we consider ourselves fairly knowledgable. This visit we brought friends , and were extremely disappointed , our server knew vertiually nothing that I couldn't tell you of basics, dry, sweet , white, red. And wasn't very accommodating we waited far to long after seating, and the gal was moody to say it kindly and unhelpful not educated. The food was excellent but I think they would be much better off calling them selves a restaurant that happens to have wine. As the food much out ranks the wine or service of a winery. Should we have had another or same server who knew the processes , the wines, and details we may have considered coming back.

We found the Four Daughters Vineyard & Winery due to the glowing recommendation from the B&B we were staying at (the Jailhouse Inn).

When we arrived we could not believe such an amazing place was tucked in the middle of nowhere. The building itself is understated; but once inside it was a total delight to find such an amazing array of wines (and food) in one spot.

Although it was 1 hr. to closing time, the owner personally welcomed us in, got us seated and fixed us up with beverages (beer + wine tasting) while we deliberated over the menu.

Everything we ordered on the menu was simply excellent and came nicely presented. We appreciated the fact that we were not made to feel rushed whatsoever and that we could eat, visit and enjoy our dining experience at our own pace. We thoroughly enjoyed the two main courses we ordered: 1) amazingly good hamburger (in my husband's top 5) and fries; and, 2) perfectly prepared chicken thighs with seasonal vegetables.

For dessert we ordered bacon jam smores and a white chocolate cookie, both were the perfect finish to an excellent meal.

If we end up in Spring Valley again, we will most definitely have Four Daughters on our list as a place to stop.

We have visited over 20 Minnesota and Wisconsin vineyards. This was one of the larger facilities we have seen and it was very nice. Four Daughters also has one of the biggest and best menus available at a vineyard. It almost more of a restaurant than a vineyard. That is a nice option when many of the vineyards have no food options or options that are limited to only finger food, prepackaged foods, or cheeses. We both found a wine we liked and we bought a few bottles.
