They claim an atmosphere of elegance and a relaxed environment; that was an accurate description of our experience of Sunday lunch (2 courses £15.95 or 3 for £19.95)

The restaurant is spacious, comfortable and classy. Our starters, roast beef and posh fish and chips were beautifully presented and went down very well. It helps that there's a good choice of wines by the glass. Service was friendly and efficient.

Not quite top class in terms of food or service, but a quality feel; worth a try if you've not yet been.

I wanted to eco the remarks from the guest who attended the wedding breakfast.
I had lamb it was under cooked and the mint sauce that was to accompany the lamb was brought 10/15 minutes after the lamb had been served.
I know that the groom complained and a couple of guest returned their meal.
The couple were given a bottle of champagne as an apology?
I believe the groom was told by the owner that when he serves food to a larger number of people it is prepared differently.
Many guest from the wedding commented on the poor standard of food later and said that they did not want to spoil the couple’s day by complaining.
So do your homework and know what you will be getting on the day.

I was a family member of a wedding party here, we had booked a double room for 2 nights.
We returned from the church to the reception here and were told we had to move rooms!!!!!! in the middle of the wedding!!!!!!!!!
As my brother was the Father of the bride and had booked and paid for the rooms I acceded to their DEMAND, only to find they hadn't got a key for the new room!!!!
My wife and I did not even receive the common courtesy of an apology.
These people are complete amateurs and should not be running a hotel.
The only good thing to say about this place is that Emma the wedding coordinator did a great job.

Room Tip: It doesn't matter which room they put you in, don't get settled because they are likely to m...

From the moment we arrived to a warm welcome we had 5* service here. We were shown up to a stylish and spacious room which was spotlessly clean. Tea and 4 different types of biscuits ready.
We chose to eat in the restaurant after a long drive and were glad we did. The food is outstanding quality and interesting. At £15.95 for 2 courses it is a steal. The same quality applied at breakfast too, which was served in a conservatory with views onto the hills.
We will certainly visit again.
The only negative is the road noise, it didn't bother us but if you want to sleep with the window open then take ear plugs, or ask for a rear facing room.

This was our first visit, it was a recommendation from a friend and we certainly wasn't disappointed !! A lovely modern restaurant with a air of sophistication, it's light and airy and on a Saturday night, buzzing !! Service was excellent as was the food and presentation. Just one criticism .. we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water on our table, we chose still, thinking it was complimentary, we were charged over £2 for it, ok it was Blue Kelk .. but not really necessary in my opinion.

We had a gorgeous meal here last night. Probably the nicest meal we've had in a very long time. Had the corn fed chicken to start, followed by the fillet of beef which was possibly the nicest steak I have ever had! Hubby had the scotch eggs and the Guinea fowl which he said was v v nice. We finished with the cheese trolly and the trio of desserts. Had a bottle of the "house" red which was also lovely. Staff were pleasant and service was timed just right. We finished off our meal in the bar with a glass of prosecco, young bar staff could have been a little more attentive and not argued over how much tip money they got, however this was just a tiny gripe.

Had a really lovely lunch, didn't book but didn't have a problem getting a table. Food was excellent, service was brilliant but a little surprised at the cost of a "dash" of lime in my drink - 60p. Otherwise, I can't wait to go again.
