Spent a night in the Albatross cottage on our travels up the coast. The view is the most striking asset of the character cottages, it cannot be faulted. Luckily we had a great afternoon and following morning to soak it all in. I even tempted fate and went in the beach, Tassie water is not that warm in March. The cottage has a lovely balcony too which we made full use of. The cottage was what you would expect of a beach house, nice but basic. It is self contained but if you want to cater get your supplies from St Helens on the way in. There is a restaurant below the cottages if you want to try it out, It was even open on a Monday night which impressed me. The rooms are comfortable, the beds could do with an upgrade though. 1 queen and 1 double, not really great for 2 couples. Bigger beds would be ideal. A couple more towels also wouldn't go astray. Nothing to detract one from staying though, we had a great time.
