My husband and I stayed at Anne Bean for an "early anniversary" trip. We stayed in "Cynthia's Room" in the upper level of the house. The room was exquisite! There was so much attention to detail, it seemed that Erin and Jeremy (the owners) had thought of every need before we could even voice it! The house has such a historic feel to it, but they have restored it so that you are not missing any modern conveniences (like AC- the weather was 90 degrees when we were there but you would not have realized it at all!). The next morning, we had breakfast served in our room and it was wonderful. Truly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! We really enjoyed our stay at Anne Bean, and wished we had reserved for more than 1 night. But, we will definitely be back in the future!

Room Tip: Each room has a very unique and different character- whether you like a sunny room with a fun "...

My wife and I wanted a beautiful, restful, quiet place to stay for our 15 year anniversary while we enjoyed the Stillwater area's wonderful sites, shops, and activities. We discovered all of that, plus a wonderful host couple at the Ann Bean Mansion B&B. Jeremy and Erin, the friendly couple who owns the Ann Bean Mansion, were warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in the front door until we left. From the gourmet breakfast to the small vase of fresh day lillies in our room, the large and small touches just made the Ann Bean and us as guests feel comfortable and well cared for. Ann and Albert's Room where we stayed was a bright and cheery room with plenty of light streaming through the windows. The bathroom had a relaxing whirlpool tub, and a shower. Not just any shower, but a two-person shower with two shower heads per person! Luxurious! :-)
If you are looking for a place to stay in Stillwater, look no further than the Ann Bean Mansion B&B. We just might make a trip to Stillwater an annual ritual!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are quite since none of the bedroom walls adjoin other bedroom walls.

Been to a few B&B's, this was the best experience. Great owners, visited for a while with Jeremy, fun to talk with. House was so beautifully restored with nice modern conveniences like the fantastic whirlpool bath and spotless. We had to leave early for travel so the home cooked food delivered to our room was convenient and elegant at the same time. Thank you!

I stayed at the Ann Bean Mansion in early June this year (2012). I was looking for a place to unwind, and an interesting town to explore. My expectations were surpassed in every way by Ann Bean and the owners - Jeremy and Erin. The house is magnificent, with rooms decorated throughout with the utmost care, and authenticity - there is so much to look at, in every room. The hosts were just lovely, and very generous. You will want to stay there just to meet them, enjoy Jeremy's dry humor and the delicious food. You can keep to yourselves or join in on group drinks and breakfast. The help yourself supplies in the dining room and in the bedroom are generous and high quality. The bed was divine, the linens beautiful. The town of Stillwater is a historian's delight, and the walks and tours, spas and shopping, river and restaurants give untold options for leisure. I have reflected many times this week how I wished I was back on the porch of the Ann Bean Mansion, relaxing.

Room Tip: All the rooms are gorgeous. Mine was on the east side of the house, at the top of the stairs. The be...

We had a great time at the Ann Bean Mansion. Our stay in the Tower Room(s) was very nice - bigger and much more private than we expected. Breakfast was great both mornings. Our welcoming and kind hosts provided interesting conversation and food in a unique setting. Ann Bean is located just close enough to make it a walk from downtown Stillwater's shops and dining. An excellent first Bed and Breakfast experience for both of us. Other unexpecteds: off-street parking, truffles, really nice and spacious bathrooms, WiFi, and really nice smelling soaps.

My wife and I have been staying at the Ann Bean Mansion for over ten years and often visit other B&B's in our travels. The Bean remains solidly at the very top of our list. It is the gold standard to which we compare all other B&B's, and we have yet to find one that tops it. The setting is gorgeous (downtown Stillwater--the river, the hills, the beautiful architecture), the mansion is stunning, and the hosts could not be a more perfect mix of being there when you need them, being scarce when you don't. It's like that perfect server at a restaurant who's crisply attentive but not the least bit overbearing. The hosts are continually improving the rooms (for those of you who thought the tower room was cool before...wow! Check it out now...). Breakfast is always delicious, & we love the option to have it served in our room, as we are not exactly morning folk...
It's obvious that Erin & Jeremy love the Bean and love what they do--it shows in every detail of the place. Thanks for the lovely memories!! We will absolutely be back. Regularly.

My mother and I stayed in Jacob's room while I was home from college and it was amazing. Just as I hoped for--quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Listening to the fire crackling as I drifted off to sleep was just what I needed for a relaxing getaway.

Room Tip: After getting a mini tour of the rooms...Jacob's room seemed to be the best one for a one night...
