We were very pleased with this bed & breakfast. It was a very charming older home. We liked the privacy offered here. Breakfast was very good & was delivered to our room. The only concern we had was the contruction going on in the city. However the hosts were very helpful in giving us step by step directions in getting around town.

Room Tip: We stayed on the main level. It was very nice with a private sunroom. You might want to know that th...

The rooms was cozy the house is nice.CONS they forgot to give us our complimentary wine upon arrival but gave us cheese , There wifi does not work properly it goes in and out intermediatly and ther outdated tube TV does not work has sound but no picture this is the Molly room 8/7/14
I will be asking for a full or partial refund ASAP and do not recommend this place price 149.99 plus tax The owners also acted is if we were intruding at first with there door half open while they spoke to us and told us check in ain't until 4Pm so we must wait outside there home while they fixed up that's not too welcoming to me .

Room Tip: Spend 150.00 here if you do not want internet and tv with no picture just sound .

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this B&B. I too, was a bit apprehensive based on a couple of the reviews. Ours was kind of a last minute getaway, and the only B&B in the area that had an opening the dates we needed. (There was an opening here, only as they had a last minute cancellation.) We stayed in the Michael E. Suite, and really like it. The house is old as most B&B's are, and has some history to it if you care to ask questions and learn about it. When staying at a home such as this, you have to be able to appreciate antiques and their charm, which we totally did. Decorating (wallpapers) was obviously done in the early 90's, but again, the entire package was very charming. I saw mention of overgrown gardens, which I tend to agree to some extent with, however, if you drive around old Stillwater, most all of the homes/yards are the same.....lots of perennials and wildflowers that are grown up. Again, gardening is not a deal breaker for me! :) (I might even have a weed or two in my own gardens!) Judy, the owner, was extremely friendly and welcomed us with a smile upon check in. Her breakfasts were unbelievable....several courses each morning, and incredibly delicious. We loved having a basket of coffee/tea and juice delivered to our door at 8, and then sat on our small porch outside our room to enjoy in our pajamas. About the time we finished that and perhaps even snuck in a quick shower, Judy was setting another basket outside our door at 9:00 with all the yummy breakfast goodness she had prepared! The bed was big and very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, and we savored our time together very much. If you go, make sure you take the time to read the "Room Journals" that are scattered throughout the suite. Each guest is asked to update the journal with your experience in the room....as in what you may have been celebrating or what brought you to the B&B, and what you did while in Stillwater. I found journals near the fireplace in the main room, and more upstairs near the whirlpool dating back to 1995. I enjoyed reading about all the couples celebrating their honeymoon or like, us, a special anniversary. (25 years for us!) All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and we would recommend this property. I gave a 4 rather than a 5 rating, because some areas could use fresh paint/wallpaper, and then it was kind of difficult to initially find.....and that was due to all the construction going on right now in Stillwater, which isn't the B&B's fault by any means! (And, Judy emailed us a couple days before our arrival with the best route to take to get through the construction...which we appreciated.)

After reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about this bed and breakfast. All I can say is that they were very wrong. We stayed in the MIchael E. suite, it was everything we wanted and more. We loved the antiques and the big comfy king size bed. The whirlpool tub upstairs was wonderful. The wine and cheese welcome tray was a nice addition to our couples get away weekend. They have added a deck off the main room which despite the wasps, was a wonderful place to have breakfast. By the way, the wasps were gone on the second day of our stay.

Each day we had a 3 course breakfast brought up to our room in a basket. Coffee/Tea and juice was brought up first, so we could enjoy a nice hot cup of our favorite beverage while we were slowly waking up from a great night's rest in the wonderfully quiet room. We really liked having breakfast served in our room rather than a community breakfast with the other guests like other bed and breakfasts we have stayed at.

We will definitely be going back in the fall or winter so we can try out the fireplace. It was too warm to use it during this stay. Although we did not see the owner upon check in, we did see her the next morning and at check out. She was very friendly and made us feel at home. We will be recommending this property to all our friends.

We chose to stay at Cover Park Manor for our 10th anniversary. This is our 9th B&B stay here in the midwest. After reading the other recent reviews on here, I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. We spent 3 nights in the Adell Suite. A very nice, spacious 3 room suite with a large private balcony. The fireplace is in the bedroom and lent a cozy atmosphere. The bedroom itself was very large with a big, comfortable king size bed, chair, loveseat, desk and armoire with small tv and cable. The sitting room had a full size couch, chair, large coffee table, buffet with microwave, refrigerator and bar sink, plus a side table with extendable leaf and 2 chairs. We found plenty of sitting room and plenty of space to enjoy our breakfasts. The double whirlpool is in a sunken window-lined room with the toilet behind a half-wall. The skylights throughout the rooms always brought in nice sunshine. We were able to do an early check-in and found our wine and cheese tray a very nice amenity - I counted 8 different veggies, 5 cheeses, 2 varieties of crackers and 2 varieties of grapes on there. Breakfasts were well prepared and very filling - coffee, orange juice, fruit cups, dessert, main entree and 1-2 side dishes every morning. I always enjoy eating a family style breakfast and meeting the other guests, but having breakfast catered to our room was a nice change of pace - we were able to sleep in and eat in our jammies. Our room was clean and fresh smelling and we had room service every day that emptied the trashes and replaced any towels that were needed. The only thing I could find lacking was the dusting - there was visible dust on the top of the mirror and the tops of the window valences. The decor, you could tell, was done in the early 90's, but that's a matter of personal taste; everything was in good repair and good condition. The landscaping was in need of some pruning - but to me looked like any other fall garden. So, I'm not sure why all the negative reviews, we really enjoyed our room & our stay! This B&B, while not as fancy as some others we've stayed in, was on par with other small country B&B's we've visited here in the mid-west. And although I only saw the owner once, she was a very likable, charming lady.

Room Tip: Adell Suite is the largest with the most sitting area.

Our fifteen year anniversary and first time "getting away" from the usual (kids, jobs, etc.)... I wish that we would have done more research! (This was our first B&B experience) When walking up to and entering the house, if we would not have been liable for the full price of the weekend, we would have turned around never to return.

Although the breakfast part of the "B & B" was tasty - coffee was served at 8:00 and breakfast at 9:00.- for early risers this made a late start to the day.

The Michael E. room as a whole, was lacking - in need of a good dusting, all and out cleaning (I wrote "Hi" on the sink in the cleaner residue) and a face lift. The third level which we were so excited about looked like it had been an afterthought - just ill kept and sad. Although I can appreciate the time and $$$ that it takes to redesign such things, and not knowing what the back story is on the owner/operators - perhaps this cannot able to be done, but then PLEASE "re-fresh" the photos so that those wishing to stay there would be able to decide whether or not to save or spend their hard earned dollars.

The gardens were completely unkempt, and the landscaping broken, slanted, and not cared for.
I am thankful that my hubby and I are able to find humor in all of this, have learned from our mistake and were still able to experience the joy in just being together - next time, we will do more research and spend our money and time in a more relaxing less "haunted house from the '80's" feel B&B.
P.S. In the Michael E. room you will have a nice view of a run down ice rink and park. In driving to and from you will clearly see the ambiance and landmarks of the correctional facility, electrical power plant and water treatment plant. Unfortunately, we did not get any tours ;)

Could be charming. Quaint. But the photos on the Internet are misleading. It doesn't look like that anymore. Gardens overgrown and desperately need weeding, paint peeling, a thick layer of dust and grime on most things. Furniture in disrepair.

Our room was darling: rundown, a bit grimy, but quaint. Went to rest in the sitting room and several wasps dove at us-one getting tangled in my hair. We told owners who downplayed it and did ... nothing. Offered to spray (spray WHAT? Where?? How are they getting IN? But there was little interest in solving our "unwanted-guest" issue.

After killing wasp after wasp, we sprawled on the bed for a rest and <sniff> the sheets smelled of mildew. Argh.

More wasp battle, then the wasp colony sent Goliath - seriously, almost 2 inches long.

We had to leave.

And initially, they wanted to keep our money. But they said they'd try to sell it to another couple.

NOT good.
