“Romantically Refreshing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2011

My girlfriend and I both have very hectic schedules and rarely get the opportunity to spend quality time together- let alone a romantic date. We decided to take a day and go a one of the dinner cruises. We walked down the ramp and were immediately greeted by the ship's captain. He was extremely friendly and very welcoming. Another employee graciously helped my girlfriend onto the boat. The boat was great. It was very clean, and really set the mood for the night. The bar on board has reasonable prices- once we got a drink we proceeded to the top deck of the boat. What a gorgeous site- the scenery the whole trip was absolutely beautiful. When dinner was served we sat at tables dressed in white linens with candles and elegant silverware. The food was amazing, both my girlfriend and I had the chicken and wild rice- needless to say we were apart of the clean plate club. The dessert was the "icing on the cake" for the night. I would seriously recommend a dinner cruise for any couple looking to spend a romantic night with great food and amazing atmosphere. We have already booked our next cruise! Can't Wait!

“Great evening out!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2011

Recently had a great evening with my husband on the Taylors Falls Dinner Cruise. The live entertainment was really nice and the food was great. It was nice to learn some history of the St Croix River Valley and the scenery was incredible. Great date night!!

“Ups and downs.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2011

We went on a dinner cruise on one of the paddle boats. It was alright. It was interesting learning about the cross in the rocks in the St Croix. Otherwise the best thing was just how pretty the area was. It was really cramped for dinner. You had to keep your elbows at your sides. This is a company completely separate from the state park. We were told that we didn't need tickets, there was no fee and no permit required for parking. Their signs state you need a permit and another parking lot that we had to walk through states it's a fee lot. Since they mentioned no fee along with no permit we thought we could park in either lot. Not correct, we got a ticket. I went back the next day and asked why we got a ticket and they said they meant for their lot. I understand that, but then just say you don't need a permit, not that there's not permit or fee required. And they were not helpful or understanding or apologetic about it. Maybe go on the normal tour because it's interesting, but the dinner cruise just got long and I don't recommend giving them more money than what it's worth with bad customer service from 12 year olds.

“Whiling away an afternoon on a canoe on the St. Croix River”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2009

One of the easiest and most scenic canoe trips we have found is along the St. Croix River beginning at Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls. We were not feeling very ambitious so we only went on first seven miles, but with a little more time and energy the whole 17 mile stretch would have been very doable, even for old fogies like us. Either way is the same cost, with a shuttle back to the starting point. The canoes are just aluminum (kayaks can also be rented) but the current does most of the work for you, even when the water is low. If you do go the longer stretch, check the wind forecast, since if it is coming from the south or southwest the wider stretches of the lower portion can be more of a challenge. All in all, it is a great trip. Even if there are quite a few boats it won't seem crowded. And the river is very lovely, indeed. Now we'll look into doing stretches further up the river.

“Historic boat tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2007

While visiting Taylor Falls, we took the historic boat tour. This paddle boat was a wonderful adventure down the St. Croix river. The view was breathtaking, and the guide was very informative. There was a beverage and snack bar, and the staff there was friendly.
