We stopped for lunch on a Tuesday at 11. Service was good but a bit slow. The BLT ordered by one in the party was terrible. 2 pieces of bacon and bad tomatoes was substandard. Hamburgers were dry. “Kettle” chips provided with sandwiches were basic chips. Pie was great as always. But, will not be back for a meal.

We stopped last Thursday at Betty's Pies. We were seated right away in a cute booth right in front of the pie case. We had the broasted chicken which was delicious. It also came with the choice of potato, biscuit, and a small coleslaw. It was all good except for the fries. They were blah, I recommend they should change to crinkle cut fries, which are almost always good and seem to go with diner food better. We ordered Apple, Key Lime and Toffee pie slices. All were great! The next day we stopped by and picked up a Camel Apple Crunch pie. It was out of this world. SO good. I wish could have some more. Overall, a great place except for the French fries.

We visited Betty's Pies as a family of for me and my husband and our two daughters 10 and 13 years old. We were driving around visiting Gooseberry Falls and Iona Beach and Split Rock Lighthouse and we heard good things about this place and so we decided to stop. My husband and I got burgers which were good except Bland. The fries had a weird tasting seasoning on them and their chicken seemed almost to moist if that makes any sense. Cute retro atmosphere, clean bathrooms. We got a piece of the Butterfinger pie and a piece of the five layer chocolate pie. The five layer chocolate pie tasted like cinnamon pie not really chocolate. And the crust on both pies was not good , kind of burnt tasting. The Butterfinger pie was very thick and gooey and just not good. We had heard that their pies were really good so we were very disappointed on that point. And also because they were basically $5 a slice. So that was a pricey visit. We do not recommend this restaurant.

I wasn't thrilled when our group wanted to go here, as I was here years ago and it was bad. Well, not any longer!! The meal-soup and half sandwich was great and so was the rhubarb strawberry pie that was included in the reasonable price. Highly recommend but prepare for waiting a bit!!

We stopped at Betty's for 2 slices of pie as we headed down highway 61. We got take out and didn't eat it until the following evening. it was really good, even though it was a day old. The crust was light and flaky. One slice was apple with a crumble topping. It had plenty of apples and it wasn't too sweet. The other slice was strawberry rhubarb with a double crust. It was just sweet enough and not too tart. We were surprised at how good both slices tasted.
