Bob's Cabins reminds me of the cabins we stayed in as a kid in the 60's. It is probably best suited for adults that want to unwind and just relax. When we arrived, I did not want to leave. I just wanted to sit on the deck of my cabin and relax with a glass of wine/beer and watch the ships and boats on Lake Superior. We planned this brief trip at the last minute, so we did not have any food. A big grocery store is a few miles away in Two Harbors. We took a quick inventory of kitchen amenities and headed off. The kitchen essentials were limited but adequate. There were all the necessary pots and pans, matches, salt and pepper, dish soap, towels, garbage bags and coffee filters. Charcoal, fluid and small weber grills were available at each cabin. For a small fee, you can grab some firewood and fire starter sticks. Bob's newsletter had alot of valuable information about the property. You can also make arrangements to do laundry if needed. Games and puzzles were also available. People should note that no pets are allowed. I for one was glad because some people just ruin it for others because they don't control their pets in public.
We did not have a reservation, but found the property in a North Shore Visitor's Guide, and we were very glad we did. Since we did not venture from the cabin to the parks, we'll go back and do that next year.
