The entire family (including a 10 year old girl, twin 16 year old boys, and 18 and 19 year old girls) had an absolute blast! It's hard to please all of them, and Hiawatha certainly did. While the lake bottom was mucky, the water was warm and the trampoline provided a lot of fun. The pool and hot tub also gave great options for things to do. Having the kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats included with the stay also gave them tons of opportunity to get out and have fun. Fishing was good, and the other campers were very nice. They accommodated our large camper very well, and we spent a lot of time around the camp fire every night. We'll definitely be back next year!

Hiawatha Resort is an amazing place to stay. I highly recommend this place to all who wants to spend time with their family. They Have a nice sized pool and a huge hot tub. They have Trampolines in the lake, it may be muggy on the surface in the lake but its still worth it my kids had a blast on there, and just for future reference bring extra quarters because your children will be in there all day if they had enough quarters to last them haha. Hiawatha is the most loving place to be the staff there is great. Whatever you want they will try to make it happen for you. The food there is great. They plan fantastic weddings to, so if you know anyone who is planning on getting married go to them. I have recommended this place to many people, and they said it was great. So if your planning on going on a family vacation for decent price. Go to Hiawatha Beach Resort in Walker, MN.

Lot's of fun things to do for kids and families. Family friendly. Water trampoline, kyaks, canoes, and much much more available with no charge. games and activities set up throughout the week for kids such as: rocket building, games on the lawn, pool and hot tub, beach picnic and a camfire with smores. The cabins are wonderful and are very clean. My family and I love it here. We have been coming here for 30 years and still going.

We camped at Hiawatha beach and their campsites were crowded. Upon checking in, no body took us to our site and the boundries of each site were not very defined. We also didn't have a fire pit at out site and when we questioned staff their response was "it must have been raked up, go ahead and put one where ever you want". So, we had to find rocks and build our own fire pit. The lake was too nasty to swim in with all the weeds and muck! The "heated" pool was definitely NOT heated and was full of sand at the bottom. I found the staff to be not very accomodating and couldn't ever get a straight answer from any of the staff about anything!
The only positive I could find about this resort was the fact that they did offer canoes, paddle boats and kyaks at no charge to guests which was nice. Other than that it was defintely not worth the money.

The staff was slow and rude. The bay is a one mile square maze of sand bars and weeds, 1/2 an hour of frustration just to get to safe waters. The air conditioning did not work, the drains plugged, and there was only old worn furniture. At near 300 a night you expect much better.
