“Cornish cottage in beautiful location”
Reviewed 31 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We enjoyed our week staying at Bramble cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful location with spacious living area and a pretty little garden. It was our first holiday with our dog and we found it was a perfect base for us. Only 5-10 minutes walk to the beach and coastal path, and yet surrounding by beautiful countryside. Great rural walks straight from the doorstep. The little garden was a great addition, getting the evening sun it was a great place to dry out wetsuits and enjoy a glass of wine. The weather was a little out of sorts for July but we still had a faboulous time.

“It was ok”

Situated in a small village, down a track that isn't car friendly. Basically deep ruts in the road and a rough track. The house itself is a tad tired looking inside and smelled of dog. Which I suppose is fair enough as is a dog friendly place. However, we were privvy to the attached cottages fry ups every day which wasn't very nice as lingered. Also the bed was a tad small and creaked every time you turned over. Place could do with a face lift. My one request would be, instead of telling us the nearest vets via a fridge magnet, or 3 books on visitors comments, how about a nice welcome pack.

“Lovely, well equipped Cottage with sunny garden in beautiful location.”

Characterful cottage in quiet, rural location, you can just hear the sea and tractors. Village pub, a beach cafe nearby on Hayle beach. Went on cliff walk from Godrevy Lighthouse along to Portreath. Had great visit to the Leach pottery, Hepworth Museum Garden and Tate in St Ives. Barney our dog loved the enclosed garden looking at the cows etc!

“Wonderful relaxing stay”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage is full of character and had all the amenities we needed.
The location is perfect for a morning stroll along the beach to the Godrevy cafe for a wonderful latte and cake! Carry on walking past the cafe towards the lighthouse and you can see seals swimming and basking in the sunshine.
The Red River Inn, which is within walking distance of Bramble Cottage has a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food.
We couldn't ask for a better peaceful location and were blessed with lovely weather! We just love this part of the country and Jill our host made us very welcome.
