Beautiful mansion with a gift shop, museum, theater showing Katrina footage and friendly help! It also offers a great view of the lighthouse, so make sure to stop in and check it out!

“Not just a visitors centre but also a museum”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

This is a super spot to start your visit sharing lots of background on the huge variety of people that make up the residency.
I loved the katrina sculpture in the hall way and the very unique gift shop.
A must see.

“Best Visitor Center in America”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

This Visitor Center has wonderful volunteers/staff. One lady told us how to get a free buffet at the casinos. (Join the casino's Players' Club). The Center also has displays that talked about Biloxi and its history. Enjoyed seeing and hearing about the contributions from the different ethnic groups and their part in Biloxi history. Also had an interesting film on Hurricane Katrina.

“A Biloxi Gem”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

The Biloxi Visitors Center should be one of the first stops for any visitor to the area. The Visitors Center is housed in a stunning, reconstructed Antebellum mansion located right across from the beautiful Biloxi Lighthouse.

The museum inside the Visitors Center does a fantastic job of educating visitors of Biloxi's rich history. There is a nice mix of reading material, short videos, and other visual displays.

My favorite parts of the museum were upstairs. The first was the movie theater which shows a film about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It's a local film that interviews several area residents about their experiences both during and after the storm. The second cool thing upstairs is a balcony that overlooks the lighthouse, pier, and ocean. There are rocking chairs to sit in, and it is a very peaceful place to spend a few minutes (or an hour) of your time.

The museum and film are FREE. You have nothing to lose, so stop by the Biloxi Visitors Center and learn a little about Biloxi's past, present, and future. Sure the casinos, beaches, and mini-golf are fun, but taking a little time to learn about the area is great fun too!

“a must do”

So enjoyed all of the history about the Biloxi area. Take the time to watch all of the videos about the area. They are only minutes long but so informative.
