“Biloxi, MS Casinos, a nice weekend alternative to Vegas”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2011

It is a much smaller scale and more laid back but was a great trip to enjoy casinos and the gulf at the same time and all the locals were very friendly. There are also museums, etc. if you have time. Air Fare and hotels were cheap and local transit was easy so car rental wasn't necessary. The Casino Hopper takes you to the area casinos and busses run to/from the airport but check with the hotel for their shuttles. You can download schedules from the website. Be sure to sign up for all the cards to get the most of your stay. They offer lots of great comps and freeplay that can even be turned back into cash by playing and they will mail you free meals/hotel comps later. I recommend visiting at least 5 of the major casinos for the experience but our favorite ended up being Treasure Bay to play and stay. The beach was also just across the street. Unfortunately, we didn't take many pics.

“Gulf Coast get away...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2011

Went to Biloxi for the golf and the casino's ......lots to choose from and much easier to get to than Vegas....Several of the casino's Beau Rivage, Hard Rock, are on par with the Vegas attractions....all the people in the area at the restaurants , retail stores, mall even at traffic lights were very friendlily and courteous....We rented a new condo from a Mr. Levey at Ocean Towers that was afforable and well appointed.....would recommend to anyone interested in this type get away.

for a city that was almost blown away by hurricane Katrina it has made an amazing recovery, we where there in August, 2010 and unfortunatley the rest of America has seem to have forgotted about the gulf coast, the beaches are clean but there are no tourist. we are going back next week Jan 26th 2011 for a week of fun and games at the casinos, plus the good seafood.

“Cute little southern coastal town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2011

I used to live here for awhile, so I know a little about this place. We go back about once a year now to see our old friends. So many people don't think of the "Gulf of Mexico" when they imagine the state of Mississippi but it is there and it has a lot of charming little towns. Not only Biloxi but Gulfport, Long Beach, Ocean Springs, Bay St. Louis and Pascagoula. You have many big, beautiful casinos (e.g. the Beau Rivage is an replica of the Bellagio in Las Vegas), great gambling, food (especially seafood, steaks and southern/cajun food, very nice climate. They have beaches, shrimping and fishing tours, mini islands you can visit, as well as cute little boutique shopping areas in Bay St. Louis and Ocean Springs. Some nice B & Bs as well. I highly recommend checking it out. You can see my contribution for additional individual hotel reviews and restaurants.

“biloxi”

if you get the chance to visit the ms gulf coast and you like to gamble, then biloxi is the place to go. there are many casinos and hotels to choose from. overall, biloxi is a wonderful place to visit and relax. there is alot to do in biloxi besides gambling. there is the beach and at sunset, it is breathtaking. there are many restaurants to choose from and they are all good. if you get the chance, you must visit the last home of jefferson davis. it is truely a beautiful piece of history. i hope you enjoy biloxi as much as i did. i wouldn't suggest going at the height of the tourist season as traffic can be quite horrible at times. enjoy your stay!!!
