Bay of Many Coves was our first stop in New Zealand and we couldn't have asked for a better place to get our feet on the ground. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and the environment of the resort is a perfect mix of luxury, peaceful hideaway and casual comfort. We only stayed for two nights, but wished we could have stayed for a week. From GM Pip to the servers and staff, everyone was helpful and friendly, including the playful dog that kept us company as we waited for our boat to leave. And there is so much to do, including taking the water taxi to the various trails and wildlife parks in the area, relaxing at the spa or pool area, exploring the grounds and visiting the glow worms at night. The food and wine are excellent as well. This is definitely a luxury resort and the prices reflect it, but it was well worth it both in quality of the location and quality of service.
