The Shack Up is the place where you can sit out on your porch and sip a cold one and play bad Robert Johnson covers. Really friendly folks, cool arrangement, and an interesting mix of fellow travelers. Great beer choices at fair prices, but didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant. Interesting history. I highly recommend this joint, after the Riverside Hotel.

Room Tip: If you need a bar and kitchen in your front room, ask for the Red Cabin! The couch is a fold-out-no...

We have just spent 3 fabulous days at the Shack Up Inn, staying in the Legends shack. We loved every part of it, the accommodation was quirky but very comfortable & staff were friendly & helpful. We went to Reds on Saturday & Sunday nights for great music (saw a wonder kid, 15 years old called Kingfish who played & sang & was unbelievable!) I would recommend this place to anyone who loves the Blues, don't miss it!

If you're a musician or a Blues fan the Shack Up Inn is a must. Situated a couple of miles from the infamous "cross roads", the Delta Blues museum & the Rock & Roll museum, the location is perfect. This is truely a unique place. If Holiday Inns are more your style don't stay here. Also children aren't permitted. Read their policy. For us, we loved it. We stayed in a room. Comfortable bed & pillows, air con, flat screen TV,good shower, micro wave. Next time we stay we will definitely stay in a shack. These Shacks have been collected from around the countryside. They're very rustic and one comes with its own piano! All the staff are very friendly & most helpfull. You can even borrow a guitar & take it to your room. My husband borrowed a Stella! There's a bar, a stage with a great piano (another instrument played by my husband),tables & chairs & like minded people. When we were there dinner wasn't provided,so be perpaired. If you're after something different, stay here. We LOVED it.

Room Tip: Read the policy

This place is awesome, we stayed in one of the shacks called Crossroads which is basic but has everything you need in a room and was really clean and comfortable. The whole place is so interesting to walk around and take pics. The bar is very cool and the souvenirs in the shop are good value for money. There's a really nice vibe here and all of us who were staying here got chatting and then headed into town to Reds blues club - awesome place to see some real blues music.

Room Tip: We stayed in crossroads and it came with a piano!

After a handful of bad happenings en route to clarksdale I was in an extremely temperamental mood when i arrived at the shack up inn. The instant i got there i was greet outside by Guy whom without a thought arranged a number of things (that no doubt, being the owner, would have put him out in one way or another) to make my stay, not only at the shack up, but in clarksdale on a whole, an incredible one. Its been a few weeks and i loved my first time at the shack up and in clarksdale so much i decided to come back and once again, even more so off their own backs, they have gone above and beyond their duty to make me feel at home here. absolute respect to the whole crew here. there isn't one of them who isnt welcoming and great to talk to. my only advice is bring bug spray, book early and read the advice given on the website - if you dont enjoy your stay here its your own fault!

This is a very unique accommodation. My brother recommended we stay here and we are so glad we did. It was a very unique accommodation experience but one we thoroughly enjoyed.
Loved the bin we stayed in.. very clean and simple. The bar area is like a museum --you can find almost anything in there. We only stayed the one night on our way to Memphis. Friendly front line staff-- very accommodating and helpful. Only thing that would have been good to have was a resturant or snacks for sale. . We arrived mid afternoon and there was no where to dine. Made use of our dieting plan though and ate gronala for supper! No worse for the wear! Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we are staying at Shack up inn. I have called 3 times to make changes amd they were so nice about it and we got what we wanted all 3 times. The 3rd time we added another night. The nicest people I have ever dealt with while making reservations. We will be staying again in the future.
