In 2013, business associates took me to Umi for dinner and I carried the memory of an excellent meal for a whole year--and returned last month for a 2nd great dining experience here. The hibachi prepared food is fresh and the 'kings of the grill' do a first rate job of preparing the rice, vegetables and meats. They are skilled at tricks--this year, our chef twirled an egg, then flipped it in the air & caught it on the spatula and tossed the still-spinning egg several times again, catching each time with the spatula and finally in the pocket of his apron. Was it a fake egg???? Anyway, I was thrilled with the consistency of this restaurant -- great evening 2 years in a row.
