Midgard is a massive property with lovely surroundings. I do think that it is an establishment suitable for a family visit during summertime only. We stayed there during the month of August and were quite surprised that we were one of only two rooms occupied (out of a 60+ room establishment).
The sheer size of the property makes it quite difficult to maintain and there are a few signs of decay.
The rooms are extremely spacious and clean (and a bit more modern than the exterior of the property) and in my opinion is the best thing about Midgard.
The breakfast is also very good compared to lunch and dinner that were below par.
I do not think that it is a first or last night stop for your trip to Namibia, but more suitable for a summer family trip if you have 6-12 year old children. It is also more suitable for conferences in my opinion.
I am torn about what rating to give Midgard as the potential for a great establishment is certainly there. Will stick to average for now.
