“Nice, simple”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

It's interesting to see the old things that people used to use. There are volunteers everywhere who like to explain the stuff to you.
Outside there is a pretty lake which you can walk around in 30 minutes.
There are a lot of playgrounds for children around the lake.

Thank M P

“The Homestead”
Reviewed 26 March 2014 via mobile

It was pretty good. There was a good number of interesting things to see inside. The displays were clean and were well lit. It was a roomy house and you got a good feeling of what it must have been like to live there. Our only complaint was that we didn't read anywhere on the net or their brochure that no photography was allowed inside. The nearby Old Wagon House was very impressive. There was a large selection of things to see. Fortunately for us photography was allowed there.

“Relaxing & Informative”
Reviewed 15 January 2014 via mobile

I lived around this area during my teenage years. It is beautiful and relaxing, the homestead is run by volunteers and gives some great knowledge of the area. CY O'Connor having died just up over the hill from the homestead itself. Sad but true. I love this place. Quaint. Historical. Gardens are picturesque.
