Ate at Kepler's the night before a half marathon. We enjoyed the food, but the service was slow. The atmosphere was dark and the place could definatley use a good remodel. We ordered our food within minute of arriving and our drinks and salads came right out. Not a big salad by any stretch of the imagination, but it was fresh. It seemed to be taking quite some time to get our entrees out, and I noticed another table had a bread basket. I had to ask for one to get one. The bread was fresh, but not warm. Nothing outstanding at all, but enough to keep the hunger at bay during our long wait. Eventually our food did come. I ordered the fried beef ravioli which came with a bowl of marinara. It was delicious. I also ordered the childs plate of spaghetti with meat sauce. The waitress told me it was just the size of a side dish. Well, it was much bigger than that in my mind. I have a small appetite and that plus the fried ravioli were more than enough. The meat sauce was very hearty and had a little kick to it. I enjoyed it. My husband ordered the filet, medium rare, but it came out more medium to well. Still tasted good but there is a big difference between med. rare and what we got. The prices were great. Paid $54 for that plus two generous glasses of wine. The waitress was very busy this night, it being the night before a marathon, so I'm sure business was brisker than the poor thing was used to. I would recommend this restaurant, as there is not much to choose from in Greenville and the food was good for the price and location. Just be prepared to wait for your meal.
