The owner, Carol is what makes this place. Let's start with her breakfasts: the best you will find! Baskets of fluffy biscuits, creamy grits, bacon, cheesy potatoes, eggs and a large dish of fresh fruit. The next morning, all that plus a sausage casserole. Carol was always asking if there was anything she could do for us. We stayed there because we were biking the Nanchez and were in room number three. Very comfortable and it doesn't face the street so is a bit quieter. The downside of our stay is the lack of decent eating places for dinner in town. Chain restaurants and a very disappointing local one are the limited options.

Last week my wife and I spent a week riding our bicycles on the Natchez Trace. We booked our overnight accommodations through NatchezTraceTravel.com. This B&B was so special we had to stay over for a second night. The house is an antique museum in itself, let alone how great a hostess Ms. Carol is. She has the charm of the perfect southern lady and could teach Paula Dean a few tricks on how to prepare the best southern breakfast. Her B&B is also located just a short distance from the new Tanglefoot rails to trails. This 45 mile paved trail was a much more enjoyable ride than the Trace. We plan to take our friends back and stay again just to enjoy the breakfast, hospitality and maybe another bike ride.

Room Tip: The bed is great but the back rooms would have less road noise. A McDonalds is right across the stre...

Carol is a wonderfully sweet person and provided an excellent breakfast. Her biscuits are like my mother-in-laws! Her home is overflowing with neat stuff. You could spend all day on the porch and in the parlors. Room #3 was nicely appointed. The only reason I stopped shy of an overall "excellent" rating is that the stairs are a bit steep, the bathroom average, and the area around it non-descript. However, it was the perfect 1/2-way stop while doing the Natchez Trace and I would stay there again.

Bridges Hall is chock full of art, antiques, beautiful oriental rugs, interesting books and the eclectic collections of it's thoroughly delightful owner, Carol. It is very clean, inviting in every way and Carol makes you feel like an old friend. Carol also happens to be an incredible cook and her breakfasts are excellent. We stayed two nights as we explored the tanglefoot trail and the Natchez Trace and hated to leave. We highly recommend Bridges Bay.

Room Tip: Does not have fitness or swim pool

Bridges Hall is a beautiful home and Carol is a most gracious host. My companion and I stayed here before biking the Tanglefoot Trail. The room was great, the breakfast was outstanding, and the hospitality was beyond compare. The location for biking the Tanglefoot is perfect. There is food and supplies close by and the parking lot is large enough to leave your car (with permission) while you explore the area. I can’t wait to return!

Our stay last night was so comfortable and relaxing. Carol made us feel right at home. Her breakfast was amazing - eggs, grits, hashbrown casserole, biscuits, fresh fruit, oatmeal. Southern hospitality at its best! Carol's sense of style shows in the personal furnishings she has displayed around the house. Great experience!

The B&B was great & our host was awesome! Lots of interesting items in the house to look at & Carol really took care of us. The breakfast she made was unreal!! Total southern hospitality!
Just a few miles off the Trace and you're there. If you stay in Houston, this is the place to be.
