My husband and I were traveling through MS on a road trip and decided to stay the night at Baymont Inn and Suites in Jackson. We checked in pretty late in the night and were directed to our room. My first impression of the room was that it was a bit humid and some parts of the carpet felt damp. Overall, the room looked descent and clean, or at least that was what we thought.

Early next morning, we got up and started back on the road again - a 10 hour drive ahead of us. Starting in the afternoon, my husband felt some itchiness all over his body and by dinner time it got much worse. We examined his body and found at least 40 bits all over!! The itch was so unmanageable we stopped by the pharmacy to pick up some medication, which helped relived the discomfort temporarily.

The following morning, we called Baymont to inquire about the bed bugs infestation and to make sure they clean up the beds so that it does not happen to other customers. We were told by the reservations representative that the General Manager was not in at the moment and would call us as soon as she walks in. As the day passed, we never received a call.

We truly regret staying at Baymont, but more upset at the fact that they did not even have the courtesy to return our phone call. I would absolutely never return to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. If you're in the area, I would definitely skip this hotel and opt for a hotel with bug-free beds and better service.

We unequivocally apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort you experienced and once again, we would like to assure you that Baymont Inn & Suites does not have a bed bug problem. We take every step including staff training and implementing professional preventative programs to insure our guests’ comfort.



It should be noted that this isolated incident has been taken very seriously by the staff and management of Baymont Inn & Suites. Our guests, past and future, should not be alarmed as there has not been a bed bug problem at Baymont Inn & Suites for as long as I have been here.



We can assure you that the management of the Baymont Inn & Suites Jackson takes bedbug reports very seriously. Upon any complaint, we immediately dispatch our Housekeeping Supervisor to thoroughly inspect the room for any evidence of bugs. We also contact our exterminating service to inspect the room that same day.

The hotel takes a variety of preventative measures for these issues. We have a full scale monthly care program with Red Pest. We regularly train our staff in the early detection of any such concern. This service inspects every guest room several times a year as a precautionary measure.



Although an isolated occurrence, anytime a guest is not satisfied or not comfortable for any reason it becomes a top concern for all of us at Baymont Inn & Suites, as guest satisfaction and comfort remain our number one priority.

Regarding the incident in question the room was immediately taken off-line upon discovery ; a staff evaluation was conducted, followed by a thorough professional examination. It was not until management was 100% certain that the room was suitable for occupancy that it was returned to inventory. I do apologize for the delay in contacting you. As an experienced and conscientious hospitality professional this incident is both frustrating and alarming, as we host thousands of guests each year, consistently providing exemplary service and comfort.



Please note as well that we have reversed all charges for your stay and would like to ask for another chance to prove our hospitality to you. We promise that this is not something that is normal at our hotel and will upgrade you to our very best room, personally inspect and give the very best VIP service that we can offer.



If you could kindly contact me personally, I would like to make us your favorite hotel in Jackson once again.

The first room had hairs in/on the bed with cum stains. We asked for another room and it too contained hairs on the bed. The bathroom had hairs all over the place. Wish I could upload pictures to show how nasty this place is. Will never stay in a Baymont again. Actually probably never stay at a Wyndham hotel again..... Ever!
