We went here with a private party group. The group were offered a specialized menu that basically consisted of either a soup or salad, steak or fish or pasta or vegetable, and dessert. The tomato bisque was quite good--spicy topped with basil and was served piping hot. The redfish was grilled and place atop homemade grits with a light sauce. The chocolate cake was a perfect finish. The service was very good from Megan.
Excellent place and meal and I highly recommend for a very nice quiet evening out.

The best meal we had while on vacation in Mississippi. The service was attentive but not over bearing, the food was perfectly executed, and every course was delicious using exceptionally fresh ingredients. The margarita was 'pretty fine', too!

I met a few friends for lunch at 1908 Provisions on a Monday. It was my first visit since the change over and was blown away at how nice it looked. Then, it started to go downhill. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes before our server, Emma, came to see what we would like to drink. When she brought our drinks she immediately asked what we wanted. No mention of specials and when one of the other guests asked about it, she made it seem like we were inconveniencing her.

We ordered and our food was out in a timely manner. One feature, one Reuben and the redfish. The food was spectacular. The chef really knows what he is doing in the kitchen.

After we finished, with empty glasses and empty plates, Emma finally came back to our table to clear plates. She then went behind the bar and started texting or playing on her phone. After another 10 minutes, she finally brought our checks. Didn't ask about dessert or if we were ready for our checks. We decided it was time to go. Emma came back with our checks and walked off.

I will be back because the food was great and the space is beautiful but I might try for dinner or request another server. I wouldn't want to inconvenience Emma any further.

We spent a most enjoyable evening in '1908 '( the refurbished restaurant attached to beautiful Fairview Inn) The service was excellent ( thank you Dawn!) and the wine complemented the meal perfectly . I would thoroughly recommend the lamb followed by a delicious and unusual chessecake.
My only problem was that I found the lighting a little dim for reading the menu - but perhaps that's 'old age' creeping up - anyway, i had plenty of younger eyes around to help !!
Thank you for a lovely evening - and good luck for a successful future.
