Staying at the Old Capitol Inn, I was pleasantly surprised that a very good breakfast buffet was included with the room. As there was much to choose from as well including meats, cold fruit, cereal, juices, grits, and biscuits. The lunch menu (they call the Sunroom) has a somewhat limited, but over the top delicious choices that vary slightly from day to day. Although not officially open for dinner, I was informed that food could be prepared upon request when advised by someone in our business travel group. I chose the grilled shrimp salad over a hamburger and it was impeccable. At the end of the day all of the out of town people stopped by to enjoy the beautiful garden together. Even if not staying at the hotel it is worth a drop by.
