Had the fried shrimp, hushpuppies, and potatoe salad for lunch. Shrimp were great, puppies were good, potatoe salad not so good. Huge hamburgers. It was great. Dinner was a different story. Ordered the ribeye, baked potatoe, and green beans. Ribeye was awful, potatoe was awful, and green beans were awful. Crab claw appetizer was good. Very overpriced. Be careful what you order here. Service was excellent.

Had several things on the menu and the food is always decent. Fried green tomato BLT was unique and pretty good. Beer selection is outstanding. Service is good and the owner is a great guy always willing to chat. Recommended.

While Irie has a Jamaican name, the Jamaican-ness ends there. I was hoping for at least some Jamaican tunes, or Jamaican decor, or Jamaican jerk on the menu, but no such luck. The atmosphere is definately college-town, but family friendly, groups accommodated, and solos easily seated at the bar. I had a fried green tomato BLT which was pretty good and the beer selection was outstanding, but I'd expect it to be in a college town. Friendly attentive service. Reasonable prices. Sports on the televisions. No liquor served on Sundays in Oxford!

We went for Sunday lunch, and as most of us Mississippians know, liquor is available on Sunday in Oxford only on 7 home football game weekends. As a result, cannot comment on bar items. I can, however, vouch for the fact that Irie has some of the best burgers anywhere. We had the plain Irie burger (had mine with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, and jalapenos), at 3/4 pounds more than my wife could eat and absolutely the max that I could eat. The sweet potato fries were excellent as well, while the cole slaw was just so-so. Service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. It is a very attractive space as well and looks out on the scenic Oxford Square. We plan on going back some game weekend for a pre-game burger and drink. The menu also had some seafood options, which the next table ordered and looked pretty good.

Good food, good service, good alcohol...all around good restaurant. I don't know what to recommend. The gumbo is very good. The grilled shrimp is good. I think anyone would be pleased with any of it.
