Value. This is one of the lower-priced Best Westerns in the Jackson metropolitan area, but it doesn't give up much in terms of quality and nothing in service. If you don't need interior hallways, it is quite possibly the best BW in terms of value in the area.
Rooms. It has a typical motel design so the rooms open to an exterior sidewalk and the parking lot. The rooms are of typical size with bright interiors. I've stayed here on four occasions all on the first floor facing north. Each had a microwave, half-size refrigerator mounted off the floor, work desk and a sink that is outside of the actual bathroom. There are no in-room safes. The television has full cable with HBO. During this stay, my television would sometimes turn itself off within a minute of my turning it on. After powering it up a second time, it would stay on. That was not something that happened in previous stays. I used the wireless and ethernet Internet connections without issue. It was great that there was an ethernet cable in the room so I didn't have to call the front desk to request one.
Location. As the name implies, the main attraction is its proximity to the Jackson-Evers International Airport. (There are mid- and lower-tier hotels closer to it, but not a Best Western.) The hotel is on the edge of a development that includes Trustmark Park (home to a AA baseball team), Bass Pro Shop, a movie theatre and multiple fast food and casual restaurants. This part of Pearl is just outside of Jackson (about five minutes from the city limit) so it's close enough if you want to explore the city and its attractions while staying at a less expensive hotel.
Cleanliness. I did not have any problems with cleanliness on this or previous visits.
Service. Service has been warm and friendly on this and previous occasions. As someone who has used Best Western reward-night certificates or points for stays, I've noticed that their front desk staff has always understood how to process them. (Sadly, this is often not the case at other BWs.) The free breakfast includes typical continental breakfast fare plus sausage/ham, boiled eggs and french toast or plain toast as well as the obligatory waffle-maker. However, the area used for this feels a bit cramped. There are just three or four tables and counters for food in an area that is about ten feet square.
Sleep Quality. While the neighborhood is not generally noisy, a lot of ambient street noise makes it way inside. Because the doors open to the parking lot, you can hear customers driving up or away and going in and out of rooms. During this view, it sounded like a crew of folks set themselves up on the stairwell outside my room and talked much of the night. On a quiet slow night, you probably won't notice it, but on a busy night you might. Also, the rooms on the north side of the hotel face an Arby's drive thru and I could hear their customers placing orders. Arby's closes at a decent hour though.
This BW is a great value that suffers a little from the problems typical of motel design but makes up for them with great service.
