Traveled to Starkville, MS for the Starkville Indoor Kart Nationals kart race and had reservations. When we arrived there was absolutely NO parking due to the bar that was on the premises. When we were finally able to park, about an hour later which was about 12:30 am, we went to the room, walked in & discovered it had holes in the wall, the room reaked of smoke, light fixtures were broke & some didnt have bulbs in them, & the 1st room we were in the curtains wouldnt even closed & there was taped at the top from where they were trying to keep the shut.. Went down & requested another room & we were given another room ...its the room that is pictured on the top corner of their website...when we went in it ...we turned around put our lugagge back into the truck & I went back to the office & let him know that we wanted a refund & that this wasnt a place we were staying...Also the bar had the customer parking taken up & the people that were going to the var was doing nothing but screaming & hollering using nothing but foul language ...that was something you dont want your daughter having to listen to. To be honest...the rooms look like something a hooker would use & thats giving the place credit...PLEASE !!!...PLEASE!!!....Dont go by the pics from their website...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! The city needs to do theirselves a favor & burn this place to the ground!!!!

Terrible excuse of a hotel. The rooms are dirty and smoky. We even spotted blood in the bathroom. I don't think they have any kind of cleaning service. When we asked for a refund or to talk to an owner/manager, the only response we got was, "No refunds and the owner is out of town and cannot be reached." The only reason my party was interested in the place was its closeness to the cotton district. All in all, I would definitely stay away from this place. You'd be better off staying in a portable bathroom.

Had a change of plans last minute and looked to book a room in Starkville for a football game. All that was left were "single rooms" that consisted of one double bed, but they provided sheets and pillows for the air mattress we(myself and one friend) brought. Bottom line is for $49 a night on a game day weekend, you are doing good just to get a hotel room, and for that price don't expect much more than four walls with a t.v. and bathroom. Expect a strong hint of cigarette smoke in your room, as the normal clientel for this side of the Regal is probably not the type of person who reads Trip Advisor. I would recommend the Regal to a friend as long as they booked a room in the two story portion of the inn, and it was just a group of guys staying in Starkville.
