This review is for the casino at Gold Strike. We thoroughly enjoyed our time gambling at this casino each day. The dealers, pit bosses, and waitresses were all very friendly. We also received a number of meal comps while we were there, which was really nice (something you don't usually get in Vegas).
There were plenty of $5 table games to choose from. Even when they were crowded, we were able to get a spot at the tables. We didn't see any video poker machines for less than a quarter, so at this casino we mainly played the penny "cartoon" slot machines. The reason I gave them a "4" instead of a "5", was because the casino started to feel a little sketchy after about 11:30 pm. Some of the clientele that drifted in after that had no idea how to play blackjack correctly, and it was difficult to gamble into the wee hours without feeling a little uncomfortable. It's not always easy to do, but next time we go, we'll get up early and go to bed early.
