Visited museum based on reviews here. Had a great time. Excellent history and exhibits!!! In the middle of nowhere, but worth the extra 10 min drive past the casinos.

Just off State Highway 61 North of the Town of Tunica, the Tunica Museum is a must see if you're at all interested in the history of the area or Mississippi delta region, and it's FREE with donations accepted.

This is one of the few things, really, to do away from the casinos. The exhibits are wonderful and very detailed. It's a self-guided tour. There's a small gift shop as well. It will take a good hour to slowly walk through, read the placards, and just take it all in.

This used to be supported by funding from the County Board of Supervisors, but they've back out and now it's just funded through donations and volunteers. NOTE: Big time FAIL to the County Supervisors. The county has to be rolling in cash from all the tax revenue from the casinos. This place is well worth keeping open.

The visit to the Tunica Museum was a spur of the moment decision. We went to the museum surprised by the free admission and then totally overwhelmed by the extent of the exhibits. Totally worth the time and great for the entire family. We will definitely be making a return visit to the Museum.

This is another place to learn the history of the delta. You will learn about the native americans. There is no price to go though it. They just take donations. this is another place for the whole family.
