Chicago steak house was excellent. Great for a special occasion. Bone in rib eye was the best ever had. Service excellent
Buffet for breakfast worth every penny. Omelet cook very friendly and made a great omelet.
Beautiful resort, slots at Casino not for the average gambler found that they ate your $20 bill on many occasions with little or no rewards. Rooms in hotel are excellent,very clean and comfortable. TV should be in HD as even some low priced motels have this.
The hotel and staff were very attentive and polite. Between the restaurants and room service, we had plenty of choices for meals. The casino was quite large for the Tunica area so it gave us plenty of options. We were also delighted to see they still had the progressive video poker machines (on the second floor) where the Harrahs properties removed all progressive video poker machines. Gold Strike is withing walking distance (right next door) to Horseshoe and Roadhouse, if you need a chance of atmosphere. But we ended up spending most of the time right there at Gold Strike. We would definitely stay there again and again.
We went to Tunica to have a few days away. Room is nice. Buffett is nice. We liked going to the mini food court with a pizza place and burger place. That was a good way to not spend 50$ on Buffet food.
Overall good experience. I just wish I had remembered to pack our swimsuits
the rooms were excellent,the food services were good,the location was good because we could travel to the other casinos.security was great made you feel very safe,would go back again,the choice of machines were ok
Weekend away together. We'd never stayed at the hotel and it was very nice. Hotel staff including front desk, housekeeping, coffee shoppe, gift shop (most) and security were all very nice. I did try to use comps/points to buy some orange juice in the gift shop but was told they could only be used to buy items which had the Gold Strike name on them, only to witness a lady buying cigarettes with her points as I was leaving.
Casino is fairly nice. Service was horrible though. Many of the beverage servers seemed to be more interested in chatting people up than delivering drinks.
Special kudos to bell staff, valets and Gold's Deli staff.
