This is obviously an airport hotel, meaning your far from downtown St Louis. You may take the hotel shuttle to the airport and the take the Metro. This is cheap, but still will take from 30 to 40 minutes. Checkin and checkout are very efficient. Restaurant if good, although there is only one option. Service is friendly.

For Gold and Platinum members, concierge services are closed for the weekend which is a big deal if you picked a weekend to relax with your family and expect your "Mariott" brand loyalty to pay off. No coupons, bonus points or any other form of compensation was offered in return. There was a large wedding party present on the day I checked in and we found ourselves being profiled to have been put in the floor where most of the guests were checked in since we looked like we belonged to the group.

I've stayed here before and was offered access to the concierge floor, not this time though since we looked a certain kind of way. Our room overlooked the roof of the lower floor, all we could see was dirt on the rooftop, lotion bottle was half empty, the televisions need serious upgrading. Will stay away in future.

I have gold status with Marriott, but this was my first time staying at a Renaissance. This hotel was great. Our room was on the club level. The rooms were very nice--and the bar in the lobby had great food. The staff were very friendly.

I had planned on staying at the Ritz in Clayton, but it was sold out. I got a great rate at this Renaissance, and I thought the hotel was great. My only complaint is that the elevators were very slow (and the hotel seemed to be very crowded--so it was a long wait for the elevator at times).

Valet parking is a great deal at $12 per day--considering that self parking is $10.

This hotel was recently remodeled and its a bit confused. It could be elegant but the disco beads and sequined pillows were a bit much.

The rooms were adequate and typical. The food and Norah's was delicious and the martini was scrumptious.

I've been to better places and worse places.

Airport Hotel - Missed Wake-up Call, need I say more? Clogged toilet and it was obvious that it was an ongoing problem by the toilet snake marks. Staff wanted to pass the blame and didn't seem sure how to handle complaints.

Room Tip: Don't stay here, there are better choices. The building is great, can't say the same of the mgmt.
