I had to laugh when other reviewers rated this poorly for things such as no free internet, no free breakfast, no free parking, no microwave in the room. This is NOT a hotel to be compared with Super 8. This is a full service hotel which strives to be a luxury brand. It isn't going to have a free waffle. You will get high end linens, service, amenities and THAT, as a Lifetime Marriott Platinum Member is what I pay for.

Elevators....yes, in the process of being updated...and they need it :)

Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: The higher the floor- nice views!

Nice hotel but overpriced for accommodations. There is no microwave or refrigerator, you pay for wifi and any meals. I have stayed at hotels under $100 per night that offers much more. I was staying on business and the costs were covered but would not recommend for leisure travel. The conference accommodations were nice, staff were friendly and helpful and if you could afford the food it was very good. But you will pay a lot for little things other hotel give for free. Also very noisy. I could hear the people next door through the paper thin walls.

Room Tip: Not a good view anywhere since it is close to the airport.

The hotel was decent and the best part was my children loved watching the airplanes land and take off from the room. It had recently been updated and it looked very nice but as a guest you will pay for it! The wifi was an extra cost, any good TV channels were and extra cost, there was no microwave or fridge (which is standard in any regular hotel these days), and the restaurant in the hotel offered it's cheapest cheeseburger at over $20.00. I was there for a family reunion and it was the hotel they picked so I wasn't aware of the amenities-or lack thereof- the hotel offered. Even with our group discount we paid $100 per nigh just for the room. We had to eat out all weekend because there was no where to store food overnight or even milk for the kids. The dual pools were okay. One outside and one inside however it looks like they took the Jacuzzi out and that would have been a deal-breaker for my husband if he had known. We visited in July but the weather has been a little crazy this year. It was a little chilly to use the outdoor pool and the indoor pool was warm but the air was up so high my son got goose bumps while swimming in there it was so cold. I asked the front desk if they could turn the air down they said they would check but the pool was cooled off with the lobby so if they turned that down they would have to turn everything down. We left the pool. I came back to check on the pool a couple hours later and they did turn the air down so I was thankful, but in the morning when we went to swim one last time before check out the air conditioning was back on full blast in the pool area and we could not swim. It really just wasn't worth the money. Either stay at a good 5 star hotel or stay somewhere cheap that will have a little more included.

Came to St. Louis for a short trip and this hotel offered the government rate. This Marriott location was consistent with the quality of customer service and amenities Marriott has to offer worldwide. The beds were comfortable as usual, the room was large and very nicely kept, convenient interstate access to the city. Although St. Louis was about 20 min away, it was in a very accessible location. Parking was $10/day but since the hotel was full, it was quite limited. But for the room price, I didn't mind that too much. The breakfast buffet was $17 but I ordered a crab cake omelet and it was quite yummy. Would definitely stay here again.

We've been using this Renaissance as a place to stay while waiting overnight for an early morning flight out of St. Louis. The hotel was recently remodeled and is very pleasing to the eye. We've also used the bar and the restaurant and both meet expectations. But the most important thing for us early-a.m. travelers is the shuttle!!! It runs 24 hours and is always waiting for a ride to the airport. All personnel are extremely polite and helpful -- so thanks, Renaissance, for offering this service. We'll continue to stay there for sure!!!

Room Tip: any room is good here but we've been upgraded to rooms in the upper floors where free hors d...

The rooms in this property in the process of being updated, which are long overdue. The lobby was redone a couple years ago and is very nice. The elevators have had many issues (i.e. not working), but they are finally getting replaced. If you get an updated room, they are quite nice, with modern power options on the headboard for USB ports and outlets. The concierge lounge is excellent, and the service is always friendly. The food in the bar or restaurant is actually better than average for a Marriott property. However, the service in the bar is SLOW. The staff has changed completely in the last year, also. Order 2 drinks when someone comes by ... because it may be a long time before they come back!

Room Tip: The rooms facing the airport, as expected, can be noisy. If you are with kids, however, be aware th...

Not worth the price. I live just far enough away from St. Louis that I need a hotel, but close enough to be here a lot. By that I mean I stay in a lot of St. Louis hotels. This has not been the greatest experience. The parking is an additional $18 (not shocking for the area) however, we were not told this up front until we directly asked. The Wifi is $10 and up for the Day (not stay). The breakfast is not included and I believe runs between $12 and $18. The rooms are small but enough for 2 (our room was a two queen). Now better research on my end could of prepared me for all of that. however, not for the fact that there was an open beer in our room or the scuffed furniture/outdated electronics. That being said the rest of the room was very clean, had a nice bathroom, clean pool (indoor but only 4 ft deep), the staff was exceedingly nice and the beds very comfortable. I however, would not come again or recommend to a friend.
