We stay at Drury Inn's when possible because they are consistently good. This was our first stay at this particular Drury. It is right next to the freeway and very noisy. We asked to switch rooms, but were told all the king suites are on the freeway side. We switched to a standard king room which was located at the far end of the hotel, but still partially faces the freeway. Unfortunately, if you are a light sleeper you will hear lots of traffic noise from those rooms. Our last night, they moved us to a queen room located away from the freeway and got a great night sleep.
The staff was friendly and accommodating with our room changes. The breakfasts and dinners were all consistently good.
This hotel lets you purchase Kansas City Zoo tickets for only $8.00 at the front desk. I highly recommend doing that.More
