“Lovely cottage with excellent host who went the extra mile for us.”
Reviewed 2 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We had a great weekend here walking, cycling and a bit of antique hunting. The cottage was ideal with an up to date kitchen and underfloor heating. It also felt secluded and quiet with a nice view in the morning.

We asked Wendy (our host) about any decent walks in the area and she promptly went and found us a map with a walk marked on it, which she talked us through. We ended up doing an excellent loop taking in a decent pub lunch and visiting Tennyson's home village.

If there was any problem then it was that we couldn't find a pen to sign the visitor's book!

Just enjoyed two nights at Bainvalley Bach cottage.
Didn't know what to expect, but the cottage is delightful. Fully equipped and kitted out with quality fixtures and fittings.
The cottage has one main sitting room with diner kitchen, bathroom/wetroom and a large bedroom with very comfy bed. Underfloor heating throughout.
Totally private, but near the owners house in the lovely little village of Hemingby.
Ideal for a couple; with/without a dog.
John and Wendy (the owners) are lovely and popped round to check all was well, but otherwise are unobtrusive.
Really enjoyed our stay; I was here for business, but it was a one-off, but of I ever have to go to Lincoln again, I would definitely book the Bach!

“Very Nice Place, but...”
Reviewed 7 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Lincolnshire, the room was very cosy and dog friendly. The only downside was that the cottage didn't have Internet access via Wi-Fi as advertised.... Wi-Fi was apparently available in a separate building (although I couldn't find it with either my iPhone, iPad or laptop...) this was one of the major reasons why we booked here, as I work in IT and had to remote into work several times during our stay (I had to go to a pub 5 miles away to do this!!) which was very disappointing.....
other than that we enjoyed our stay...

Thank you Jason for your review. As I explained to you we were in the initial stages of letting the property and although the electrician had been - he too was having problems with the internet connection. This has now been resolved.
