I've visited this Garden Centre & Restaurant on three or four occasions during the day and had some really lovely food every time. Yes, it is a little more expensive than your regular cafe, but the surroundings and the quality of the food more than make up for that. Their roast ham is wonderful.
We visited last week on a Friday evening to try out the Fish & Chip special night. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely, with low lighting and a good buzz from quite a few customers
We both ordered the large haddock and chips with mushy peas, and a couple of drinks each.

The food arrived fairly quickly and was beautifully presented. Large, lightly battered fish portion with absolutely fabulous chips and a portion of fresh mushy peas. The fish was cooked to perfection, white flaky and moist, with no bones. It really was very well done.

The staff are friendly, efficient and polite. I would certainly recommend eating here, and will return soon

We visited yesterday for the carvery after a very very disappointing morning. We arrived at the garden centre after being let down by the local pub (long story short we booked a table, arrived and no table was ready for us!)

Our 83 Nan was among the 8 of us out celebrating our mothers birthday and turned up at Willows on the long shot that they would be able to help.

The staff could not have been more helpful, the restaurant was very busy but after explaining the situation to the staff there they found us a table straight away.

The food was amazing and so was the service. I can not fault anything and neither could any body else within out party.

We will be returning and recommending to everybody

Visited The Willows when it first opened to buy some plants for my garden and was very impressed when I visited the plants section! A lady with bright red hair advised me on what plants to buy and where to put them and her plant knowledge was extensive - excellent customer service!!! Thought the giftware was overpriced and the deli only half stocked which wasn't very enticing. Cafe staff were very disorganised but food was okay. Staff in the indoor garden centre area were quite ignorant and not at all friendly.

Went back a few months later to buy some more plants... was very disappointed to find the lovely red haired lady had left! Such a shame! Good gardening advice is so hard to come by and I still have half an acre to plant up. Unfortunately, standards have slipped so I will have to try elsewhere.
