“Excellent choice”

This truly is Asian fusion, with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean offerings. The sushi is great, especially considering its location (small town in Missouri.) The food is always extremely fresh. The atmosphere is great--very clean. The service is super friendly and usually very fast. The prices are excellent, especially the lunch menu. The portions are large; I've split meals on a number of occasions and always had plenty to eat. My absolute favorite is the Bolivar roll. It's absolutely huge (enough for two people, easily.) I suppose it's not actually sushi as it is deep fried, but man, it's incredible. Oseyo is far superior to your average American-Chinese restaurant.

“Quick service - good food - great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

I was passing through on a business trip, and stopped for a 1pm lunch on a Sunday.

I asked for recommendations and ordered the peanut chicken. It was served good with some fresh green onion and sprouts. Also came with a bowl of soup, a pile of good fried rice, and a fries meat wonton. I ate half and still finished with a full takeout box.

Meal service ended with a slice of orange and a coffee candy.

All totaled $7.50 (pre-tip)! Service was great! Recommend.

“Top notch in every respect”

What a delightful surprise! We were looking for a late lunch, hoping to find a good small town cafe. We saw the sign for Oseyo Asian Fusion Restaurant and went in just to satisfy our curiosity--sushi in Bolivar? You bet!!!

We had two specials, the Show-me Roll, salmon with deep fried crust, $7.95 and the Dragon Roll, eel, $9.95. Beautiful presentation, wonderful flavors (watch out for that green horseradish--a little dab 'll do ya).

Available are appetizers, some typical Chinese dishes, Korean and Japanese--miso soup, a variety of rolls and noodle dishes. Prices generally from $5.95-$9.95. Teriyaki dishes include grilled chicken, beef, shrimp and salmon. There is Oingea (stir-fried squid and veggies in a spicy sauce), and Bulgogi, Korean BBQ of thin sliced chicken, pork or beef.

Oseyo is a Silver Level participant in the Polk County Health Dept. "Live Well" program, with 12 dishes that qualify as "healthy choices."

There are booths made of Ozark cedar slats with cushions, and tables for 4 and 8, seating about 100. Even at 1:30 p.m. on a Friday, people were dining in and many to-go orders were being filled. The locals have discovered the place and apparently enjoy it as much as we did.

The decor is pleasant: bright walls, a mix of oriental and modern art.

Service was prompt and cheerful and we felt we were genuinely appreciated for our appreciation of the meal. Our only regret is that it is too far from our home to get there once a week!

It is closed on Mondays. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Phone: 417-326-2100.
