When you walk up, Maggie's gives the appearance that it could just be a tavern. Don't be fooled. Go on in. You will be glad you did. To start off, $6 Boulevard Wheat pitchers. Yes, Boulevard Wheat. And it was cold. We each had a breaded tenderloin sandwich. Though not the biggest around tenderloin, it was not pounded out paper thin with a bunch of grizzle and fat. It was not pounded out at all. It was over 3/4" thick with just enough breading. That's correct, not pounded, no grizzle, no fat. Just a really good tenderloin. The price, $6.50. Yes, that's right. The staff was friendly and attentive. Made us wish we lived in Boonville. Loved the decor. That old look that tells you to take seat and relax. Really enjoyed conversation with some of the locals. Go ahead, open the door, walk on in. You be glad you did.

We go to Maggie's at least once a week. The owner is usually there and everyone remembers what you ordered the time before. A nice cozy bar and grill with down home attitude.

We've had lunch at Maggie's a few times and each time, the food was very good. They offer a fairly wide variety of appetizers, salads and sandwiches for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays and apparently are open during the evening. We've had a fairly diverse sampling of some of the sandwiches and each has been very good. Prices are reasonable. Entering the place is a bit of a off-put as it it is dark and has a long bar. The initial reaction is that it looks like a beer joint. It isn't. It is on Boonville's main street where there is usually plenty of parking. We don't live in Boonville, but Maggie's is our favorite place to have lunch on Fridays and Saturdays when we are in town visiting family.
