Owner description: Nationally known for its bass fishing, this beautiful clear water lake with gorgeous vistas is also an ideal setting for swimming, boating and water sports, and rivals some Caribbean islands with its excellent scuba diving.

We stayed on a cabin at Big Cedar Lodge. It overlooks Table Rock Lake. This is one of the most beautiful lakes I have seen and I have fished lakes all over the country. There are boats to rent, tackle, whatever you need.

You can also get a professional guide at a very reasonable price. Don't miss out on this one. Take the family NOW!

“The Belle river boat dinner and show were excellent”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

There were about 700 people on the boat. Food was excellent and the show was very entertaining. Included comedy, magic, and music.

“Read this before you go...”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

As others have said, this is a gorgeous, large, well-stocked lake.
If you plan to bring your own boat, or rent one there, to have some fun on the water, read recent news BEFORE you head out. The Corps of Engineers "owns" much of the access to the lake, and they are a federal agency. Access was closed for a few days during the government shut down in October 2013, which in turn forced several of the lakeside businesses to close early for the season due to the severe decline in business.
More changes and cutbacks have been predicted, so before you set off to travel there, you may want to check the Internet and/or call ahead. The Corps also owns the dam and visitor center. The fish hatchery is run by the state, so they should be safe.
Our family has enjoyed a number of wonderful vacations at Table Rock, and we certainly hope the current political and fiscal policies of our federal government won't ruin the thriving economy of the area.
Tip from the locals - if you are grilling on your own, go see the butchers at the Harter House grocery in Kimberling City. They will suggest great cuts and even season them perfectly for you.

We passed over the dam several times at different times of the day. It was beautiful and a great photo opp. Beautiful fall colors really starting to pop.

Good place for a walk around the dam. Nice shop and very good film showing the history and the building of the dam. Informative hands-on exhibits for children. Plenty of parking.
