We stay here very often. Nice campground, clean restrooms/showers. The swimming pools (indoor & outdoor) are always clean and there is a nice playground for kids along with tennis courts, basketball goals. The campsites are so nice, the ones we usually pick have a little shelter area with a picnic table and fire ring. Lots of trees all around and many of the sites are quite shaded in the summertime. It's a very pretty campground, and nice to just walk around in the early morning or anytime. They also have pizza delivery to your site and nice store for whatever you seemed to have forgotten. It's SUPER close to Silver Dollar City as well and there is a shuttle if you don't want to drive. They also have special activities on the holiday weekends as well as Witchy Weekends for Halloween and a potluck on Thanksgiving. Super nice people and it really does feel like a second home!

We had 2 adults our two 17 yr olds & our 15 yr old. We stayed in the lodge for one night which is a little older but still a good place to stay. Then we stayed 4 days in the deluxe cabin which was very nice and has alot of room. There are 3 pools one of those is an indoor & all 3 were clean. They have a nice playground and any camping site you would want. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is also a resturant and a small store on the grounds. They will deliver food to your site or cabin from the resturant or a hot pizza and I mean hot in 30 min from the store anyway you want it. (ours was delivered by a man who looks like santa clause & thats what his name tag said.) It is located about 3 miles from Silver Dollar City & 7 miles from Table Rock Lake, Branson West, & the same to the strip. If we travel back to Branson to camp or stay in a cabin or a room this will be our first choice of places to stay.

I was unable to find vacancy anywhere else around SDC, so after reading all the reviews, I decided to take my chances. I booked a luxury cabin at Compton Ridge for the 6 of us (2adults, and 4 teenagers). We were very much surprised with how cute this little cabin was! The layout was great, and the screened in porch with table and chairs out front was really nice in the evenings. AND we even got a free shuttle ride to and from SDC, any time of day we wanted. The cabin and campground are clean, and welcoming. My husband and I walked from the cabin to the main campground to have breakfast. Not a bad walk, BUT a sidewalk would be nice since it is next to the woods, and a very busy road. Restrooms, and showers were clean. I even got a kick out of watching the guy in the little golf cart that chases cars down to make sure they are supposed to be there, lol. I tried a litte humor with the desk staff, since some of the reviews I read were negative remarks about the staff, it was well recieved. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this spot to our friends, and family.

Room Tip: Luxury cabins are perfect for 2 adults and 4 teens!

Our 50+ member family reunion was held at Compton Ridge. The facility was nice in that it was able to accommodate both our camping and non-camping family members. It was also nice because it was not crowded, so our group had the pool mostly to ourselves. While we thought the lack of a crowd was unusual during peak season, we soon discovered the reason must be the rude management and most of the staff. They did not make us feel like we were welcomed guests and were not service-oriented. They patrol the facility in golf carts looking for reasons to "bust" people. My husband had to go through a grand inquisition when he requested 1 additional towel at the lodge front desk. If you still decide you must stay here despite this and other negative reviews, please note that the lodge and motel are farther apart than they appear on the map. They are separated by woods (with snakes) and to get from one facility to the other, you need to travel a gravel path along the main road. Too bad about this place, because it has the potential to be a great setting for family reunions with various housing requirements.

We are so sorry you had this poor experience with the old owners. We have reopened under the new ownership of Ocean Canyon Properties and are committed to making you feel welcome and appreciated at our campground. We hope you give us a second chance!
