“BEST COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST IN BRANSON!!”
Reviewed 16 June 2013

We wanted to try this motel because of its number 1 rating, and were not disappointed! The room was large and very clean and came with a microwave and refrigerator. The bed had a pillow top and was heavenly! The pool area was clean and well maintained, but the best thing was their breakfast. Home made potato and egg casserole, which my husband said was delicious, waffles, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, rolls, cereal, WOW! The lady that cooked was singing while she was caring for her guests. She really loved doing things for them. We will definitely be going back!

My wife & I chose this place because it was #1 on Tripadvisor. It was indeed a clean, affordable and well run hotel. However, I'm not sure how it got the #1 slot. Its really just another hotel and nothing beyond that. Here are examples of what I mean…

By reading the reviews, we thought it was going to be a pristinely clean and new building. It is not and shows some age both outside & in the rooms. Hey, we all age & there is nothing wrong with that. I'm just pointing out that the building didn't match the image I had after reading other reviews.

As far as the room itself, everything was clean and worked, including the Wifi. Good TV channel selection, though the cheap aftermarket remote was frustrating to operate with the buttons not always working. The shower had a cheap head giving an uncomfortable spray pattern. Also the single handle valve was very touchy & a very slight nudge would change the temp from freezing to scalding.

The ice machine was awesome with always plenty of ice to scoop out. We didn't use the pool but it was a clean looking area.

One thing we really didn't care for was its location. My wife & I both prefer to walk to attractions if they are within a mile or so (especially in a traffic challenged area such as Branson). This hotel is indeed only a couple of blocks off of the main drag, but there are no sidewalks to get there. You have to either walk in tall grassy uneven lots or walk up by the road with cars zooming past. It was an uncomfortable experience.

Another thing I noted that this hotel seems to attract construction workers, presumably due to its remote location and good price. Now, I'm not saying there is neccesarily anything wrong with that. They need a place to stay too and this country is great because of working men like this. I'm just saying that while you are loading the kiddies into the car for a day at Branson, there might be a group of guys next to you jumping into the work truck for a day on the job,

We had little interaction with the staff, but when we did it was very positive. It appears to be a family run hotel & they seem to really care. The gal at the desk was very friendly and had no problem letting us check the room out first. Breakfast was well run too. I only had cereal & toast so I can't comment on the plentiful hot foods, but that seemed popular.

All in all, if you want a good value and don't mind my nits, than this is a good choice.

From the time you call until the time you leave Grace and her family will make you feel like you are one of them. Grace is an inexplicably delightful person who goes about her business with an attitude that is best described as spiritual. The aura of the place is infectious and you are never going to get the equivalent of Grace's breakfast eggs at any chain establishment.

To be completely honest the brick and mortar is not brand spanking new but it isn't shop worn either and I wouldn't exchange a night at the Seven Gables for any one of the formulaic brands in a brand new building.

The people are genuine and do a great job in a very tough business. They deserve your patronage and you will be happy you stayed with them.

The motel was easy to find and right in the middle of the strip but far enough off it to provide quiet sleeping. The people who own and operate it were very friendly and helpful, They suggested visiting and eating at Branson's Landing which turned out to be a very nice experience. The room was very clean and relatively large. We had gotten one of the handicapped rooms because neither of us do stairs as well as we did when we were younger and using the shower with the safety bars is easier than one without them. There was a small refrigerator that had a place to refreeze our coolers freeze unit and also provides a place to chill sodas and water. The make up and sink area was well lit and easy to get to. One complaint was there wasn't stool or chair for her to sit but we decided that was because it was a handicapped room and it would make it easier if someone was in a wheelchair. The interior and exterior of the motel was clean and well maintained and well lighted. The parking was sufficient although I don't think the motel was full the night we stayed there. The one thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of fresh fruit at breakfast. There were some canned pears and pineapple and a couple of over ripe bananas but some oranges or apples would have been a nice addition. The egg casserole was good and hot and the made to order waffles were also good, Adding a no-sugar option for syrup to go on them would also be a good idea for people with diabetes or just someone watching their weight, They also had cereal and oatmeal as well as biscuits and gravy and someone there to help if you needed anything. For the price this is an excellent option for someone staying a night or two in Branson.

We stayed here four nights in October 2012. We loved the hospitality , service and clean rooms. The complimentary breakfast they serve is great and we never eat breakfast anywhere else. Of course, when we return to spend a week this memorial day (2013); we looked no where else than rebooking at seven Gables. Grace is a wonderful manager and looks out for guests as if they were family.

We've stayed at Seven Gables Inn multiple times over the last three years and have never been disappointed. You feel right at home as soon as you walk in the front door! Friendly check in/out staff, extremely clean and very quiet hotel/room, very comfortable bed, and the breakfast was awesome. It's not on the main strip so it's not too loud or tons of traffic, but it’s still close enough to the strip that it’s not a long drive. Also they are very helpful in booking tickets to area shows and attractions. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Branson. Our favorite of all of our vacation hotels we have ever stayed at.

I go to Branson often and I always stay at Seven Gables. I have never been dissatisfied with their service. The rooms are always clean and quiet and they serve a wonderful hot breakfast. They are located close to entertainment and the lakes. You won't be dissatisfied. Very good prices also.
